Well...this one will be a shocker for you then.  Except for a Saints fan who slobs on green and gold knobs and a Bears fan who also must lack friends....its brutal.  I don't even post in the Packer or the NFC North threads.  Not worth the angst!

I've been doing this for years. Not sure why it's suddenly such a problem now.

What other threads should I post in Lynn?

I liked the college football thread, but that's died. So should I just talk about the Gophers? Why? I only posted there a handful of times in the past anyways and that was during Badger game weeks.

Should I really start posting in the Vikes thread and give some helpful critique of the team and my thoughts? I'd get crucified and you know it.

Politics, no thanks. Never posted there, never will.

Twins? Really never posted there to begin with.

Wild? Same there.

So I stay here where I've been. There was no issues when I was here and the Packers sucked (2008) and I stuck around. If someone wants to give me grief, I've taken it and given some back. I believe I've been pretty much the same since I got here. I don't feel my tone has been arrogant or elitest for posting about the Packers in a Packers thread and I've been posting the same as I have been for quite a while. I've posted the good and the bad. When someone actually wants to talk football, I'll talk to them about it. There have been some good discussions when people actually want to talk about something with merit.

I my opinion, the Packers success has really made people here hate anything relating to the Pack (moreso than usual) and that tone has carried over to how people here deal with and percieve me. Frankly I don't care about what happens on other boards, it has nothing to do with me or what's going on here.

You want me to leave, go ahead and say so as a site mod.

Poor sports!

Even with winning the SB you embodied class and never rubbed it in Vikings fans faces.

Nor do you stoop to wishing injury on someone

Keep up the good work

I'm no poor sport....I just hate the Packers.  Nothing poor about it.  I say it and I'm proud of it.  And I grew up a good portion of my life in Wisconsin.  Maybe this week is the week Rodgers gets it!!!!!

I have no issue with Craig coming in and posting here.  He doesn't act like a troll.  I DESPISE the Pack.  But it doesn't bug me that he comes on here.  If he wants to post with a bunch of folks that hate his team, so be it.

I concur with JC's comments.

Hey Lynn....you were referenced in a new thread on X4 today.  The Thread is called:  Any Vikings fans going to show up this week.

These are the comments as they appear on this classy thread:

1. Dilweed? Anyone? 2. i'm guessing no. 3. I believed one or both of those you mentioned have been bandished.

Of course there is viking girl, but Blare Keel was mean to her (in a very polite manner) and she quit.

I think she is now writing really bad kidde books.

Yep - their famous "Packer fan congeniality" sure disappeared. These were people that I met in person at offline gatherings that I arranged and who came to my wedding. But once the Packers had a bad season they turned like vultures and started making personal attacks. Heck I used to donate money to that forum too. Once they started making personal attacks I split.

No one is asking you to leave Craig. Just explaining why your singular focus seems odd.

You ask why you should visit any other threads than this one? I'd say because that's where we all post and have conversations. If you're here to participate on a forum - that's the way to do it. If you're here just to post static thoughts about your rival team, we recognize that.

Nobody told Craig he couldn't post here.....and my good natured ribbing of hoping for a Radgers injury is just that....good natured ribbing.  Craigs a good egg....but I'm not going to just turn around and not hate the Packers because of it.

I dislike any team that is given special treatment.
The NFL has given special treatment to the Packers by letting them be publicly owned.
Meanwhile, fans of other teams are subject to having their team moved.

The NFL is constantly making rules about unsportsmanlike celebrations, but the Lambeau Leap is somehow sacred.

A pox on packers!

Ok, all is well. Perhaps just some venting needed to be done.

Now Ed, about that injury wish: don't make me go all the way to VA

I agree.  I know you weren't asking him to leave.  And just because he seems like a nice guy doesn't mean I think his team sucks any less.

The Powers that be create a Packer Thread and now people complain when a Packer fan posts in it?

I have a very unhealthy hate for the Packers.  It's somewhat countered with my love for the NFL.
Craig is an asset to this forum.  Shame on all of you for having a problem when/where and why he posts.

Do you have anything relevant to the topic, thread or current conversation? No, just a personal shot.

I second this post

Some people here are frustrated because their team sucks so they take it out on Craig, a class individual.

Very childish

John, seriously, you're the guy who tells people they're too stupid to post, or unable to understand a simple concept, or not worth the time to discuss something with because they disagree with you.

Now who is childish again?

Everyone on this, or any forum, knows that when they post something they may be challenged on it. That's how internet forums work. Craig understands that and seems perfectly capable of responding to the challenge. In fact he did a better job than others who call people pigs or stupid.

Saying thanks for the input is a personal shot? I don't think so.

And then you continue with ... wait for it ... a personal shot? Who peed in your corn flakes?

That's uncalled for. At the very least, in the context of the current convo. No, in general that is just terrible.

I think we should check the IP addresses of some of these posters.  The ball washing from some of these posters is rediculous!

JT2, you'd be best served with an apology and maybe even taking that offensive post down.  (Mod's...if that post isn't removed by JT2 or whomever that poster is, can it please be removed???)

Calm down people. Let's just let it go as it's all good. While I appreciate the kind words for me, no need to rush to my defense any longer. I'm not going to be the cause of a bunch of flame wars. Take to PMs if you want to do that.

Back to football.
