We don't know the whole story of this guy and his family.  I think it's a little weird that his wife was taking pictures of the whole event (implied approval) and then she gets a restraining order.  Something doesn't add up.

For the record, I wont actually  call this a child abuse case based solely on what was posted regarding the story. Personal experience, I can easily see how things transpired according to his version. Who here saw the evidence? The video? Was it recorded from start to end, or just a snippet of horseplay between dad and son that for whatever reason took a bad turn? A vengeful wife? I wasnt there so I dont know.

Except that the police reported that there was a history of domestic abuse in this home - so it kind of takes away the validity of his version when compared with the wife and son.

Again, I think the history is worth noting.  I'm guessing that she has filed complaints before and perhaps was told that if she could get some kind of hard evidence she'd have a firmer case.  Taking pictures would be a really good solid piece of evidence.

It could just as easily be fear of repercussions for not taking the picture.

It's kind of comical to see both the Seinfeld story and the guy taping the jersey to his son story making all of the ESPN shows.  It just seems to be Packer fans' turn to take a drubbing from the media with stories that make them look bad.  The media is pretty much equal opportunity in their rube-rants as there is another story of a guy getting the Patriots logo tattooed onto his head and there are periodic stories of fans elsewhere misbehaving in some manner.

Weather it through Packer fans.  This week they're making fun of your fan base, next week it'll be someone else.  I do think, however, that the kid in the abuse story is now almost guaranteed to grow up as anything but a Packer fan.  The dad pretty well clinched that.

Did anyone see Jim Rome's final burn today?  I'd love to see the transcript because he worded it so well.

Dude, that is the sickest thing I've ever seen.  Poor, misguided, brain-washed children!!  Somebody just needs to adopt them and undo the damage.  Ny daughters would be happy to help.  Allie could hand over a pair of horns and her sabre to them as they arrive.

Just kiddin' Pack fans.  Well, sort of.

So...Child abuse is exclusive to only to being a "Packer Fan"?

Man, I think you answered your own question.  That's just abuse no matter what the age.

Not to get ticky tacky, but it was domestic issues, by the article. And I dont doubt there have been incidents. If you really want to disect what the article says look at what the charges were....Disorderly conduct....

As I stated before, It wouldnt be fair of me to say that dad is a total ass, unless I knew all things involved. Not to single out women as evil but  I have seen first hand how easily it is for a devil wife to manipulate the system regarding restraining orders and what not, but, IF I were to pass judgement on what I do know, I would say its a mom and pop who have a lot of problems between themselves. Individually they could each be pretty decent parents but unfortunatly the boy ends up stuck in the middle of the fued between them.

I'm sickened by most school shootings/bombings, but in this case, I might make an exception.

Please noone take offense.  I kid, I kid...

Reminds me of Kim Jong Ils (and his brother Mental Li Il) propaganda videos of the North Korean school kids singing, also reminiscent of the Nazi youth.

It's called gathering evidence.

I'm sure the guy is among the upper crust of the Puker faithful.

What kind of idiot spouse/parent would stand by taking pictures whilst the other one is committing unpleasantries upon their child?  I think the whole family are white trash and this was just the latest in probably a long string of malfeasance.

Furthermore, it could easily have been reported as a "shirt" or even "jersey" instead of "Packers jersey."  The team name had nothing to do with it, except for making a better headline.

Well, the whole thing did stem from the boy refusing to wear a PACKER's JERSEY on game day.  Not just any shirt.  The kid didn't want to wear green and gold and Daddy lost his mind about it.

My favorite was Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor
I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark
when he made Pearl Harbor.

I miss you more than that movie missed the point
and that's a lot girl. And now, now you've gone away
and all I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked
and I miss you.

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school.
He was terrible in that film.
I need you more than Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part.
He's way better than Ben Affleck and now,
all I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you.

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies.
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked just a little bit more than
I miss you.

The emergencies are still occurring, but the rubes can't be bothered.

Also a classic, Jeff.  Man, that movie was so great.

Dirka dirka dirka!  One of my best buddies went as the main character a couple years ago for Halloween, with glued on hair, etc., and a towel wrapped around his head.  It was HILARIOUS.
