My entire lifetime, teams like BC have given mighty Notre Dame fits.
May be too much to ask this year.... when they're 2-7 ... but stillll ....... please?

Flat-out gamer.
Was disappointed they didn't put the third-down play at the end in his hands, I would have.
Unbelievably slippery.
Those were Sunday guys he was slipping tackles on all afternoon.

I swear ... Oregon scores before the game starts.
Look up 5 minutes in and most of their games are o-vah.

Followed a lot of the game on Game Cast on the way home from Mpls. We got home in time to watch the last three 'Bama downs in the red zone. I was also disappointed that they didn't try for a first down as well.

I just love an upset.

Is Oregon the best team? Maybe. Maybe not. Their offense looks almost unstoppable, but their defense looks ordinary. To me, Kansas St looks pretty solid on defense. It would be a pretty good matchup between the two. Nevertheless, the one team I wouldn't want to play is Alabama. They must have been still thinking about the LSU game all week and were not ready for yesterday's game. In a bowl game, they will be ready.

Retiring Tom Osborne runs on to the field with Nebraska on senior day. Easily one of the greatest college coaches of all time.

Most knew that K State wasn't number 1 material.
Oregon wasn't impressive at all tonight.
The Irish are renting the number 1 spot.

Who is the best college team?

Going into this week, the #4 through #9 nationally ranked teams were all from the SEC? Looks like it will be #2 through #7 this week.

One bad game turns a whole season. Better to have that bad game early.

Seminoles had an easy schedule, but if they handle Florida, they're as good as anybody, IMO. A little underrated this year.

Chad Morris runs the most impressive offense in the country, but they can't play a lick of defense.

Georgia might be playing the best football in the country right now. Aaron Murray on a good day looks really good. And Jarvis Jones is the best defensive player in the country. Of course GT will probably upset them next week.

Bama sneaks back in due to the failures of others.

Anybody watch NC St/Clemson today? About 190 plays from scrimmage. Crazy.

Sammy Watkins had 11 catches before halftime.

Tobias Palmer almost beat the record for all purpose yards in a game, he had 496. Anybody know who holds that record?

In all seriousness, I still think Alabama is the class of CFB. They put the best 22 players on the field IMO.

I watched that TD call again the Oregon game. I have no skin in the game.

I like both programs, but that over turn was just a terrible call. Firstly, it was called no catch on the field, secondly the video never showed
conclusive posession, the ball is still moving in his arms when the rest of his shoulders hit the ground.
That being said, give Stanford a lot of credit. They played a hell of a game.
They stuffed the running game and forced Oregon to make big league throws, which that QB can't do.

For all Chip Kelly's "genius" his aggressiveness flat out cost him the game. A FG in the 1st half, and Oregon wins the game.

All sorts of NFL offensive talent in that game.

Agree with your assessment of the replay overcall, I didn't see enough to overturn on slo-mo replay. That didn't cost them the game as Stanford had three more downs inside the ten in order to tie it. No, the problem was Kelly overthinking the kicker position two weeks earlier and changing field goal kickers due to a competition in practice. the kicker missed both tries, one in the fourth quarter and one in overtime. He must know how critical that position is. Kicking in practice does not indicate how well you will do in game winning situations.

At least know what you're talking about.
Going into the game,
"That" QB came into the game as the top rated passer in what used to be called Division 1.
He also has a Freshman PAC 12 record of 28 td passes and has also completed 71% of his passes.
In the past 3 games he had 10 TDs and 14 incompletions.

Yeah they lost, but you don't know shit for having such a strong opinion on it.

Dude, he is 6'4" 211 lbs with a strong arm and runs a 4.6 40
and has been called a first round guy by Todd McShay, again say only what you know, not what you don't.

I thought that Kansas State had a good defense. What happened? It's interesting how sometimes a team doesn't match up well with another team.

You could take about 7 teams right now and throw them in a hat to determine the best.
I think Oregon is the most entertaining and the most likely to dominate mediocre teams.

I'm guessing OSU is kicking themselves in the ass for not punishing themselves last year

They would be playing a very beatable ND for the title.
