Neither team is worthy of the national championship. The best teams are still from the SE. Georgia is playing very well, right now. Should be a great SE Conference Championship game. (better than the BCS Championship game)

Stanford is very good right now, maybe the best team in the country. Georgia has played two good football teams the entire season and gone 1-1.

Texas A&M is another team that nobody really would like to play, right now. I think that you are not giving enough love to Georgia, right now. They are solid.

College football is a joke. Schedule powderpuffs and be rewarded; schedule actual competition and get screwed.

Oh, and always bet on the SEC. The Pac12 sucks, the Big 10/12 sucks, the Big 12 sucks, and Notre Dame beat nobody outside of Stanford at home, who they didn't really beat. But they're the media darlings so we'll have to hear all about what a heartwarming story it is until they get their asses handed to them by Alabama or Georgia.

At least we don't have to suffer through Kansas State-Notre Dame and then pretend one is the "champion"

Well, luckily, we have playoffs looming (finally!). We only have a couple more seasons of regional bias and controversy on who should be number 1 or 2.

The playoffs wont be perfect, but theyre a start. And once college football figures out how to capitalize on the playoffs monetarily, without forsaking the non-playoff college bowls, they will get bigger and better.

The problem with the four team playoff is that it will likely always be made up of two SEC teams, who likely won't often be matched up in the semi finals.

They will be exposed, but the exposure will be minimal and tightly controlled.

Buffalo, Missouri, Florida Atlantic, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, South Carolina (loss), Kentucky, Florida (lone big win), Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech. A lot of programs would be 11-1 against that schedule. With recent wins against Auburn (3-9), Georgia Southern (D1AA) and Georgia Tech (6-6), I would hope they would be hot right now. There is a 50/50 chance the Gophers would have gone 3-0 against that group of juggernauts.

Conversely, Stanford just beat Oregon State, Oregon and UCLA is successive weeks.

Thank goodness we have the Pac 10 Homer here to straighten us all out...

This is why we have a playoff now.

The SEC has been ducking the Pac 12 for years, and heaven for bid they would ever travel to the West Coast for a game. The last time they did was when Arkansas had Darren McFadden, and they nearly needed to run out and buy a three-digit scoreboard in the Coliseum during the third quarter.

Come on Bradley geeeeeeez! I'm a huge Oregon honk, and even I know that when we matched up against LSU, and Auburn it didn't turn out very well for the Ducks. Give the SEC there due.

Look, I'm no A&M apologist, even w/ the homerism of family and friends who attended A&M, but you have to admit that the turnaround has been remarkable. This is a program that has had a drought for over a decade and managed to transition into the SEC and go toe to toe w/ Florida (losing) and beat Alabama. It's impressive.

Maybe it is more of an indictment of the SEC than a turnaround by A&M. They are a challenger (not front-runner) in the SEC, just like they were in the Big 12. Much like they were usually better than Kansas, Iowa State or Kansas State over the years, they are now looking like a real team against Ole Miss, Vandy and Kentucky.

Like I have always said, the differences between the major conferences is much less than what ESPN and SEC honks would like you to believe.

Again, are they that much better, or has the SEC been vastly over-rated for a decade? My thought is that the truth likely lies somewhere in-between.

Did Musgrave win a Dr Pepper fan appreciation game or something? Alabama just let him call plays for a series

Ripping off 10 yard + runs and they go to the pass???

The last 2 runs got them 4 yards, and left them with a 3rd and 6.
