Looks like Mich giving the Buckeyes all they can handle at the big house.

Barrett appears to have come up gimp after last play.

Michigan QB could be the worst QB I have seen play at a major college program...

Not even close....incredibly bad.

Chip Kelly, UCLA Agree to 5-Year, $23.3 Million Contract

For the first time in forever, the USC UCLA crosstown rivalry just got extremely interesting. UCLA hasn't been good since the late 90s.

They seem to have always got talented players. Never seem to translate to wins though.

Pac 12 has to be happy about this. I thought he would go to Gainsville.

UCLA has never established an identity. And becuz of that, their fans are ambivalent to them being a championship team. They have what might be the West coast version of the University of Michigan 12th man, in terms of fans support and attendance. But, they're the ultimate example of the Los Angeles fan, attending a game to be seen rather than heard.

That was obviously stollen from what it's like to be a Cub's fan. However, now that they won one they've been die hard fans from the beginning

Bama falls to Auburn.

That means 2 SEC teams will be in the playoff. Bama and the Conf Champ.

I was hoping this scenario wouldn't play out like this.

I agree with you that two from the SEC will be there and I think they deserve to be there. Who else will be there? Wisconsin if they win will be undefeated and Oklahoma will have just the one loss if they beat TCU. (no easy accomplishment) If one or both of those teams lose next week, then I don't know. Miami has only one loss. Wait. So does Clemson. Shoot. I don't know. I think there are about 17 teams with only two losses or less. I bet I'm not the only one who is confused.

Going to come down to:

Clemson vs Miami winner in
Georgia vs Auburn winner in
Oklahoma in if they beat TCU
Wisc if they beat OSU
Bama more than likely will be in for sure

Could get interesting if Wisc wins. Not sure they could justify keeping them out.

Auburn deserves to be in if they win vs Georgia again. They are the hot team that nobody would want to play.

Auburn is a 2 loss team though.

If they beat GA they deserve to get in via Conf champ but how do you let Bama in if Wisc wins out?

If OSU beats Wisc and is a Conf champ with 2 losses why shouldn't they get in if Auburn does.

I think this selection committe is going to get roasted matter what they do.

Hope Bama gets left out.

I'm not yet convinced of that. OSU/Wisconsin, Miami/Clemson, Oklahoma/TCU, Auburn/UGA matchup winners have a great road in. Bamas best hope is the combination of OSU, Miami, TCU and Auburn victories. They won't get in over ANY one loss conference champ that played in a conference championship.

Here comes the six team playoff commentary.

Maybe it's time for D1 to take a lesson from D2 which actually has a playoff. The current bowls could be mapped into the various rounds. With 40 bowls, there'd easily be enough for a 32-team 5-round playoff (16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 31 games) and the extra bowls could be used to hold some one-off conference runner-up type games (next best team from Conf ABC that didn't make the playoff vs, next best team from Conf XYZ that didn't make the playoff) similar to how the Mineral Water bowl works for D2 teams from the NSIC and MIAA.

Sounds good, but the reason a true playoff hasn't happened is becuz of money. Ultimately, money will be the reason a true playoff does occur, but not before the ncaa, sponsoring corporations and networks figure out how to divvy up the pot.

Nothing like controversy to start (or further) the conversation, like let's say Alabama being left out or being put in over a more deserving conference champion.

Because Auburn beat two undefeated and number one teams. (one of them twice) Also they did it in very impressive fashion.

Alabama deserves to get in because they may still be the best team. They lost to Auburn in a hornets nest and that was their lone loss.

If ever there was a case for an 8-team playoff it is this year. I don't see any dominant teams in the entire country. One could make a case that any of the top-10-12 teams could get hot and win the title.

Of the teams that will be close but won't make it, USC played the toughest schedule. They beat five top 40-teams in the country.

One of the problems is scheduling. Another is conference bias. When a Pac 12 team loses, it drops 10 spots. When an SEC or Big Ten program loses, it drops five. I'm a USC homer, but they aren't a great team this season. However, in a one-game scenario they can be dangerous. Auburn just lost its top running back, and the #2 guy hurt his ankle. I'd take the Trojans in that game all day long, and twice on Sundays.

According to Jeff Sagarin, the guru of formula. He says the top conferences/divisions are:

1) ACC Atlantic (Clemson)
2) SEC West (Auburn)
3) Big Ten East (Ohio State)
4) Pac 12 North (Stanford)
5) Big 12 (Oklahoma)
6) Pac 12 South (USC)
7) Big Ten West (Wisconsin)
8) ACC Coastal (Miami)
9) AAC West (Central Florida)
10) SEC East (Georgia)

Given these rankings, Georgia has no business even being in the conversation. And as I've said before, Wisconsin is the biggest fraud in the country.....EVERY SEASON!

I'd be just fine with Clemson vs. Stanford and Auburn vs. Ohio State as a final four.

I'd have no problems with Oklahoma or Clemson.

If Alabama can't win its own division, they don't belong in the conversation. I've watched them many times this season and they are not a great team (reputations should mean nothing at this point). Their benchmark win was LSU, who has ZERO offense.

Wisconsin is Wisconsin....riding the easiest schedule on the planet with nothing to show for. They have the easiest schedule of any of the AP top-15 teams (61). Sorry, but if you have the #61 schedule in the nation, you don't belong in the top four. Scheduling has to account for something. Their biggest win of the season was against Northwestern. Central Florida has the #83 schedule and beat two teams ranked higher than Northwestern. I'd have Penn State in over Wisconsin, and they aren't even on the radar.

Interesting. Bama/Wisc have no one to blame but themselves for their incredibly weak nonconference schedules. I mean play someone. i think Bama played a monastery of monks last weekend.

It's been going on for years.

Last 2-3 weeks of SEC non-conference schedules. And mind you, they are never on the road. It's basically a bye week and guys play a half and get healthy. Alabama had EIGHT home games this season.

Alabama vs. Mercer
Auburn vs. Louisiana-Monroe
South Carolina vs. Wafford
Florida vs. UAB
Ole Miss vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
Texas A&M vs. New Mexico
Mississippi State vs. UMass (and they were down in the 3rd quarter)
Arkansas vs. Coastal Carolina
Vanderbilt vs. Western Kentucky

Alabama played eight home games this season. They traveled a total of 1,121 miles the entire season. As a reference, when USC traveled to Washington State, it was 1,120 miles.

Vandy, 247 miles
A&M, 630 miles
MS State, 84 miles
Auburn, 160 miles

It's something that people always seem to overlook. Going on the road and missing school, time in the air, road meals, different beds, loss of practice/preparation time, etc.... It's a big deal and people almost never think about it.
