ND looks very average vs. Ball State. I thought they'd be up by 20 in the first half, judging by what they did with Michigan last week.

Fun to see Herm Edwards getting it done so far ... figured he'd get some kids to buy in to his plan.
Good man, imo.

Hey Brad, if you're still reading. What are your thoughts on Wisconsin today?

Hey SMF

Bison fans got their 1st look at Trey Lance today.

This guy will be better than Easton Stick and Brock Jensen. Probably not Wentz but that's OK.

44 yard TD run and showed a strong arm.

Geez. Bama is up 28-7 in the FIRST QUARTER! I thought Miss would put up more of a fight than that.

Up to him to comment, if he is. Just a guess. He loves to point out that Wis is the most overrated program in the country. Which I love, because I agree. Whether he's here or not, not my business to say. Wish he was, I think he added a lot but I don't know

I know there's a lot of us "Strib ppl" that have vowed to leave for certain shit and have come back. Not saying that's him, just saying it's possible.

On your first point, yeah. I've seen as I lurk there. That's why I posted it. I knew he'd see it.

Oregon with a choke job for the ages.

It was bad, stepped on our own Dicks, but not sure one for the ages.
Stanford had a timeout, we couldn’t just run it out, needed a first down.
Freshman stretched and fumbled.

Again, a dick step, but not one for the ages.

Stanford Coach tried to help Oregon out too. Not accepting illegal procedure penalty after 3 yard gain was strange. 1st and 15 versus 2nd and 7 with clock stopped.

Not just the end was a choke job but the sequence where Oregon should be up 31-7 and then consecutive fumbles trying to punch it in and all of sudden Stanford had life after fumble return TD.

Yeah, no doubt.
Technically fumbles, but a snap that skidded the ground followed by a snap over the QBs head by a Veteran Center.
Dude cost us that one.

Honestly though. 3 kneel downs by Oregon and they are probably punting from the 50 with 10-15 seconds left. No reason to be running with ball in one arm fighting for extra yardage.

Felt bad for you on this one, Murf
Really good game, tho, it was fun without a horse in the race.
I was impressed by both squads.
Stanfords been kind a force of nature imo, at least lately.
And you're always good. Nice to see a couple heavyweights battle it out.

After dinner and at Halftime,
I poured a whiskey for myself, my wife and Stepdad and said

“ we may need these, feels like a go up big and hold on to the end, watching the clock sort of days”

still thought we’d do that and win though.

Nice to see College Football keeping it football. I've seen about 10-15 QB hits today that would have been flagged in the NFL and nothing was called.

In college football especially, similar to cooking, a "watched" game often returns results contrary to initial expectations. Yes that qualifies me as a "master of the obvious""

Heading out to the Oregon-Washington Game.
Beautiful Fall Day High near 75, taking my wife staying with friends down there.
