Two games for the University of South Carolina.

Two weeks of Jadaveon Clowney being a complete non-factor.

You, and many others, had him set in stone as the top pick in the 2014 draft not that long ago. Of course you were high on Te'o too.

People literally went crazy about Clowney over ONE play, ONE. Dude is raw, undersized and undisciplined.

Yep, I did. Looks like that was a mistake. Apparently Clowney's decided to take the year off.

As far as Te'o, I would have been fine with the Vikings taking him. Don't think he's going to be the disaster that a lot of the experts seemed to think. Not sure what he has to do with anything here.

I agree wayyyy overhyped

Been saying this for a couple years. In this "steroid" era of football. Load up on a QB and 5 good weapons. You will score 40 pts every game and go 12 and 4

Stud defenders are a non factor right niw

Thankfully, we are very close to ending another national nightmare early ....
The one where all we get to talk about all year is .... Notre Dames undefeated season.
Thank you, Michigan.

Sounds kinda like the crap we have to hear in the NFL every year until Dallas finally gets exposed for how truly overrated they are.

Seems like there is still plenty of excuses for them.

Well, I thought this was the purpose of college!

QUOTE: Report: Okla. St. used sex as lure

When the recruit arrived in Stillwater he received an enthusiastic greeting from two members of Orange Pride, a group made up of female undergrads that is described on the university website as an "organization that donates their time and efforts to assist with Recruiting for Oklahoma State and the Football Program." The women explained that they would be taking him to dinner, the recruit recalls, but first they had a stop to make. A short time later he was having sex with both of them. "Rock 'n' rolling, I had the best of the best -- the aces," says the recruit, who spoke to SI on the record but is not being named to protect the identities of the two women.

Well, JC, I think in 2 years Ponder will be a better QB than Newton. Newton has one more preseason as the number one QB, taking all the first team snaps and played in 6 more games and has one more win. Ponder improved last year and Newton went back a little. Now I'm sure part of that is them trying to make Newton less of a running QB which I think is stupid. He was responsible for some of the Panthers losses due to fumble. Maybe he has Culpepper hands?

They have had acouple of pretty good running RBs in DeAngelo Williams and Stewart. They also have WRs Smith and Lafell so it wasn't like it was all on Newton to perform.

I hope you are right

I think the chance of that is maybe 1 in 10

I certainly have been wrong before

But there is nothing on the football field that Ponder does better than Newton

Passing totals for today. . .

Air Force - 108 yards
Army - 76 yards
Navy - 71 yards

USC - 51 yards

Laughing at Lane Kiffin is always fun.

That once proud program is a complete disaster since Carroll bolted

Bama is purposely going away from their running game to showcase their QB versus JFB

They have taken control of the game but a very strange strategy since they are getting 6 yards per carry on the ground

I'm glad they got that call half right. Completely right would have been no penalty, but at least the player didn't get ejected after all.

Johnny football? I can't stand the guy, but he looks pretty good. He seems to be smaller than advertised, though.

I doubt the 6'1 holds up at the combine.

It is hard for me to buy Alabama as a great team

Great teams do not give up over 600 yards in offense I don't care WHO they are facing

Johnny Football might be an unlikable douche - and I have no idea if his ability will translate to the next level, but I guarantee if his team is down with time running out, he's not taking over a minute to move them 20 yards.

Kids got balls on the field.

Watched Oregon play... Did Johnny Football look like a potential stud at the next level?

I know Marcus Mariota did...

I think Johnny Football makes things happen. He can make all kinds of throws, and the balls just seem to end up in his WRs' hands.

He won't be able to run like that in the NFL, but the scramble at 12:12 in the 2nd quarter was a bit Tarkentonish, lucky his WR came down with the ball. He is gutsy, and looks like a miniFavre at times. Maybe his size will help him drop down to the Vikes, but the Vikes could be picking higher than we think.

I don't think Manziel is that bad of a guy, it seems media created. However, with the bragging going on with the Vikes right now, I'm concerned about the current status of the team, they should be focused on WINNING not stats and breaking records. IF Manziel is drafted by the Vikes, he might join the bragging culture, and the Vikes become a hated team and then a laughingstock when they lose.

Either Manziel has some talent or Bama is way overrated because he did put up a TON of yards and scores on them
