It was a strange ending. An ASU player laid on the ball for awhile without penalty, and then on top of it, the ref was slow in getting the ball set, the clock runs out. I thought Wisconsin should have gotten a chance to kick the FG, and I actually thought the refs were going to come back on the field and them do just that.

This is the second game I have watched Manziel. Against Alabama and today. He is a GREAT college quarterback, but he will SUCK in the pros.

I think the same as you do, but Manziel keeps getting it done against division 1 talent.

I've watched him a lot.

Positive: his arm strength has improved over last season, so you know he's been working. I like that. But still not great arm strength.
He's fearless. I like that too, but so was Tebow.

Negatives: everything else. I joke. But he is SO not fundamentally sound. Footwork is awful most times. Long wind up. Just slings it, never the same way twice. That won't work in the NFL. And his size. I seriously doubt he measures in at even 6'0".
The small guys that are the exception to the rule (size wise) have been so much better with their mechanics. Manziel is no Russell Wilson or Drew Brees.

Tannehill will be a much better NFL QB than Manziel will ever be. Not even close.

Ole Miss showed they weren't ready for the spotlights, and Bama showed who's stil boss.

I would love to see a battle with the 2 best coaches in college football Meyer vs. Saban in the NCG

At least I got a win back with Badgers covering by .5 pt against my bucks.

Ian - Kiffin fired on the plane ride back home.

No way. Common opponent, California was throttled by Oregon, and Ohio State let them hang around.
Common opponent is not that scientific, but at this point it is all we've got.
In 25 years of games in Eugene, i don't remember worse weather than yesterday.

Mariota is still plenty raw.
Not a very accurate passer.
Nice CFB player especially in the Ducks offense but I'm not seeig him as an NFL QB.
He should stay in school.

Manziel is a risk too.
He's just a train wreck mechanics wise.
And I think the minute you start to try and tweak his mechanics you are going to take away his best attributes which are his intangibles.

Bridgewater looks good in highlights and on paper.

But Hundley, Boyd and the others ... I'm not seeing this upcoming QB class as amazing as the media is making it out to be.
Wherever we draft we'll have a chance for a decent one but there's no can't miss blue chip starters except possibly Bridgewater.

Guess one of the USC boosters reads this board. The Turk came to see him this morning.

It looks the same to me still. Bama and the Ducks for all the marbles.

Ohio State lost their senior safety who was a captain on the team.

I don't think Bama runs the table this season. I see them getting beat in the SEC title game. For that matter, Oregon has a brutal schedule remaining. Stanford is very good.

Winston putting on another QB clinic this afternoon. He just might be the best QB in the country already.

Definitely best deep ball in the country. Going in to today, he was completing over 67% of his passes that traveled at least 15 yards from LOS, best in the nation.

Mr. Daniel Lee Young I have a question for you.

You said you were a Hawkeye fan but I've seen you on the Husker board saying "we" a bunch.

I'm a little confused to say the least.

Cal is absolutely terrible. Letting them hang around, anywhere, is a loss.

If the Vikes really suck again NEXT season, they'll have the interesting choice of keeping next years' 1st round draft pick QB, or taking Winston with the 1st overall pick in 2015.

Yeah, he's not going to declare, and he shouldn't.

I love his potential and arm, but I question his field vision/ability to read defenses.
If he stays in school and continues to improve, he could be a first rounder in the 2015 draft.
Right now I think many NFL teams don't see him as early second round material.

UCLA has a ton of young talent. He will be back not only because he needs polishing, but they have a chance at something special next season.

Which I guess leaves Bridgewater, Mariota, Boyd, Mettenberger, and Manziel. Bridgewater is supposed to be the consensus #1, but I don't know a lot about him. I haven't watched much of Louisville or LSU. Out of what I've seen so far, I like Boyd and Manziel the most (assuming Bridgewater goes #1 overall).

I think Manziel could adapt to playing with the Vikings quicker than Bridgewater or Mariota, because this year Manziel has been playing with a horrible defense.

I also think Manziel might adapt better to the NFL because he faces more adversity playing with a poor defense.

I think Manziel's quickness in the pocket will help him have a rookie season similar to Russell Wilson. Should the Vikes get him, the Vikes could really have a quick turnaround, should they be able to keep their studs: Peterson, Patterson, Jennings, Kalil, Sullivan, Rudolph, JA and HS. A change in coaching and QB, and this team could turn around in a hurry, being competitive already next year.

If he stays in school, assuming no one else that is draft eligible does the same AND Winston doesnt regress or come out in 2015, Hundley will be the 1st overall pick.  Its possible (like a chance, not a slam dunk) that he could go first overall even if Winston comes out after next season.

Just say no to Mettenberger.  He's not special enough to draft and build a team around.  Unless he lights it up at the combine, he aint going in the first or second round.
