How can A-fraud appeal something it has been proven that he did? What an asshole! No way he should ever make the HOF. In fact, all of his stats should be wiped clean. Statistically speaking, he never played MLB.

Braun could have fought it too but he was smart enough to accept it now when the team has no chance for the playoffs anyway. He can come back at the start of next season.

11:42am: Rosenthal reports that in addition to those names, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Cesar Puello, Fautino De Los Santos, Fernando Martinez and Jordan Norberto have all accepted 50-game suspensions as well (Twitter links).

11:38am: Nelson Cruz will accept a 50-game suspension for his connection to the Biogenesis PED investigation, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today (on Twitter). Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweets that in addition to Cruz, Jhonny Peralta and Everth Cabrera will accept suspensions. Rosenthal also adds new names to the mix, noting that Phillies left-hander Antonio Bastardo and Mets utility man Jordany Valdespin have accepted 50-game suspensions as well. Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports tweets that Astros lefty Sergio Escalona has been suspended as well.

Why make it such a sideshow and distraction? Suspend ARod, agree if his suspension is ONLY this season,he's served it,move on. Else the whole thing.

No reason to allow a guy who WILL BE suspended one way or another, to play while appealing in this case. It's not like an appeal of a bean-ball/brawl incident.

They needed to just flat out ban A-Rod for life. Steroids will continue to be a stain on the integrity of the game until players face a real penalty for using them. Now you can use them, get paid, get suspended, come back and still get paid. There's no reason for them not to do it. Baseball management is just as culpable now as the users are.

It's all a fraud.

Granville with some good contributions too
Talked about HR expectations for CFers going from 10 to 25 in a couple years.
(On teams who like HRs)

Olney .... Brady Anderson and cal Ripken stayed in a separate hotel from the rest of the team.
Whoa ... Do we have some other things being leaked today?

Was brought up when watching all the Yankees get on the bus in Chicago .... Except arod, who took a limo.

No, I agree, they should ban them all for life, but I think A-Rod was a gimme. That would have been the minimum acceptable penatly for me.

Braun is in the same boat at A-Rod.

They can't really do that though for the other players as it's goverened by the collective bargaining agreement. A-Rod they could get for his attempts to cover it up.
