Did you guys see the McCutcheon imitation for Kurkjian? Was hilarious.

I love both guys.

Can't get enough of those TK imitations.
McCutcheon is quite a character. Love his Pirate act.

By virtually all reports he's an amazing guy; hard worker, great community guy, great family guy. And one of the very best all-around players on the planet.

That's the other side of the game right now; so many of these kids are not only immensely talented, but seem very well grounded as well. The HR derby last night was an exhibition of "good dudes" with a minor exception or two.

As the Reds prepare to market staff ace Johnny Cueto, the three teams with the most earnest interest are the Astros, Blue Jays, and Royals, Nightengale adds on Twitter. Cueto’s cheap contract looks to be a significant factor in that interest, given that all three of those clubs currently operate at a lower payroll capacity (Houston, Kansas City) or reportedly lack financial flexibility at the deadline (Toronto).

20 All Stars under 25 years old.
The Twins crack medical staff may need to revamp their ideas of exactly when the testicles drop.

Fascinating discussion today re Pete Rose
Manfred laying hints not much will change.
Eduardo Perez dry humping Pete's leg, insisting a full pardon.
Aaron Boone understanding the issues and hoping for some stipulations.
Karl Ravech with some completely dumb thoughts that his love for the game trumps all.
And the biggest sign of the approaching apocalypse ....... Curt Schilling (agreeing with SMF) with a scathing, lecturing, NO vote.

Brock Holt is an all star?
And Dozier had to beg borrow and steal?
Whatever....

I think the biggest knock against him has to be how Johnny Bench feels about it. Great interview on that today. Basically "that's on Pete; he's had plenty of chances, and still is holding on."

Again, his accomplishments are still, right now, recognized in the HOF. So he doesn't get the plaque; big whoop. IMO

Agree. Ned Yost = Ron Gardenhire.

BTW, strong hints from Manfred today that a 154 game schedule may be coming in the next couple years. All for it. And really, the owners don't lose anything. You lose some Tuesday/Wednesday games and increase ticket prices by $1-2/game otherwise to make up for those 8. It can be done. Fresher players, more fan interest. I know the counting stats won't quite work across different eras, but they don't now. You always have to adjust for eras anyway. I'm all for it.

I really believe Manfred will be very, very good for the game in the end. He's ALL about bringing stars to the forefront and bringing younger fans over to the game vs. other sports. That's what baseball needs most right now, and I think he's going to be the right man for the job.

Ugly hats.

Hideous.

Embarrassing marketing. Sometimes MLB can't help themselves by being so stupid.

Very disappointing.

I kind of like the hats.

But what I'm really interested in is how Dustin, Sweens, and Phil feel about the hats.

Todd Frazier won a LLWS with New Jersey.
If he were a Twin he'd still be on that team.
