ORIGINAL: twinsfan All-time RBI leaders 1. Hank Aaron (23) 2,297 2. Babe Ruth (22) 2,214 3. Alex Rodriguez (22) 2,086 4. Cap Anson (27) 2,075 5. Albert Pujols (19, 39) 2,003 Good chance he eclipses them all before he retires. Then he would be a HOFer. You don't think he will be? Jeepers. What possible argument could people hold against Pujols? 600+HRs and 2000+ RBI. Guy was one of the most feared hitters in baseball for a LONG time. No doubter to me. What is amazing is that players like Pujols and Joe Mauer are mentioned in conjunction with HOF status. Pujols 600 HRs, 2000 RBIs, MVPs, 3000 hits. No Doubter. Mauer, if he had continued to hit his whole career like he did the first half of it would have more hits that Pujols, but he didn't. His candidacy is iffy, but he will probably get in. But they should certainly not be spoken of in the same sentence as if their chance for HOF entry is equal.
