Didn't think Graterol would be such a big part of the Dodgers already, but there he is …….

It turned out to be a fair trade, I guess

Now the Twins need Colina to figger it out

and use Alcala and his upper 90s gas more in 2021

Former Houston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow, in an interview that aired on Monday, once again denied that he knew about the team's sign stealing in 2017 and '18, and said individuals who were involved with the scandal are still working for the club.
Luhnow, in his first public comments since issuing a statement after being fired in January, told Houston TV station KPRC he got access to 22,000 text messages from Astros video room personnel after he was fired because of the scandal. He said the messages clearly show the scope of the cheating and exonerate him from wrongdoing.
"It's pretty clear who was involved in the video-decoding scheme, when it started, how often it happened and basically when it ended. And it's also pretty clear who was not involved," Luhnow said. "And I don't know why that information, that evidence, wasn't discussed in the ruling, wasn't used. The people who were involved that didn't leave naturally to go to other teams are all still employed by the Astros.
"In fact, one of the people who was intimately involved, I had demoted from a position in the clubhouse to a position somewhere else, and after I was fired, he was promoted back into the clubhouse. So none of those people faced any repercussions. They weren't discussed in the report, but the evidence is all there that they were involved."
Luhnow said the texts were part of Major League Baseball's investigation into the cheating and that the Astros had access to them, as well.

A league investigation confirmed the Astros had cheated by using a camera-based, sign-stealing system during the regular season and playoffs of their World Series-winning 2017 season and during part of the 2018 regular season.
MLB announced its discipline of the Astros in January, suspending Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch for the entire 2020 season while stripping the organization of four draft picks and levying a $5 million fine. Luhnow and Hinch were fired by owner Jim Crane shortly after the league's punishment was announced. Luhnow first denied any wrongdoing in a statement in January.

Luhnow also told KPRC-TV that he met with MLB commissioner Rob Manfred at the league's offices in New York after receiving a letter detailing the accusations against him. Luhnow said he presented to Manfred a lengthy binder containing emails, documents and testimony to counter the allegations. Luhnow also said he asked Manfred if a lie detector test could be administered on him.
"He turned down my offer to do a polygraph test. I don't know how much of the 150-page binder he read, but none of it made its way into the final report, so frankly, he had his mind made up," Luhnow said. "He was going to punish me. There was nowhere else to go. He was going to punish AJ [Hinch], as well, and AJ admitted that he knew."
Luhnow added: "They found something that they believe is evidence. It's not. I refuted it very quickly and thoroughly, but it was enough for them to feel good about suspending me."

Kept thinking about this during their playoff run
Players involved allowed two guys to take the heat for them
THATS why this won't ... and should not ... end
Manfred botched it, is incompetent, or is just plain crooked as hell
Taking the sins of an entire team out on two guys is cruel and unusual, and the players involved had better attempt to do something about it, or nothing will change for them
Classless, crooked, and corrupt people on that team.

Luhnow is bitter. Don't blame him. Yep he oversaw it. That part he doesn't get. He was in charge, so he doesn't get off. THe OWNER should have been nailed too because it's his team.

And those rats that are running around without punishment? Should be named in public. Let it rip Luhnow.

Am sure he wants another gig. Who's going to give it to him?

Classless is the nicest choice of words for all those still in the org that are guilty.

Yep I didn't mean this guy is awesome.
He's paying the price for a whole bunch of other cheaters.
Who are standing there letting it happen.
And moving on, making money, and expecting everyone will love them again.

He'd be awesome if he gave the press the names.

Why wait so long to let Manfred get by? What a doofus of a commissioner.

What pisses me off most is that Manfred has the "Don't even question me about this" thing going.
Oh hell no, pal.
It ain't over. Because you chose to wimp out, don't play tough guy now.

Who's even going there? They need to, because there's so much more to it than what he's let on.

I get being in the owner's pocket, but the process and the end results were a joke.

Then COVID hit, and he got off because the focus was on how they were going to play.

Needs to be pursued.

See if Kershaw is the post season stud or dud. He's certainly been given a number of chances.

Friend of mine watched one of the games in the new TX stadium the other night. Said it's a nice place and really no bad seats.

Most of all enjoyed being at a game again.

Really just want a good series.

Predicting and hoping for Dodgers in 6 or 7. Don't want a sweep or anything like that.

So much for that dislocated shoulder.

Still say good thing Bellinger is not Latino or black.

Could you imagine the outrage?

Need a Rays win tonight to make this thing watchable again
Two loaded teams
Tough outs, and full pens
Kershaw stepped up big time last night, but TBs lineup isn't exactly the '27 Yanks.
They'll answer. They certainly never quit.

Kershaw had a game. Good on him. Some, including me, thinking it's about time.

Offense is loaded. Saw a headline that Betts is a bargain for LA.

Some pretty good recaps
Rays got out-Rayed last night
stuck with Glasnow too long, not the norm for Cash
Once again it all falls on Charlie Morton. Guy has been money.
Will see if he can right the ship for them, again

I see they are doing off days after Game 2 and after Game 5. I thought they originally said every series would be played with no off days? Coulda swore they said the season will be complete no later than October 26. Maybe I missed something. Or they're just winging it.
