Wow, it appears the Mets have kind of given up too.
Grandy, Wright and a bunch of ham-and-eggers.
I see they were playing "name a Met" on the streets on NY today, pretty funny actually.

Slo-pitch day in Arlington, 6-4 Phils

XBH and HRs in big league games. Man Gardy, can you believe they allow that?

Texas is gonna have those days, with that lineup
They do love them some offense down there

Crazy that theyre going interleague on Day One, eh?

Even the no-name Mets like the long ball, two two-run homers for their runs today.

Gee throwing a two-hitter for them so far.

Not much choice because Selig has mucked things up badly.

And Clifford gets shelled for 7 in 3 innings. TX will just try to bludgeon the opposition.

And they're doing it w/o 2 starters.

And Profar's dub has 3 RBI.

DEPTH.

Liriano

6IP 4H/3BB/10K

Twins starters might get 10K's as a staff this week.

Owners are hoping to talk him into staying on for a few more years. Haven't even formed a search committee to find their new bitch...er...his replacement yet.

Certainly screwed the pooch on the whole interleague everyday thingy.

Why did they let him make those last four pitches?

Doesn't that violate the cookbook?

Former Twin Wilson Ramos breaks hand on Opening Day. If Pinto plays well, Twins may be able to deal Suzuki to Nats later this season.

Getting old really sucks..

Growing up a huge Angel fan, I just watched the opening pitch where Vladimir Guerrero pitched to another former MVP hitting coach Don Baylor.. After the pitch they had to carry Baylor off the field... (Hip injury)

Hope it's not a bad omen for their season.

These idiots think we would deal Suzuki.

Gardy will insist on keeping him. It would be Pinto moved to the Nats, and for some worthless releif pitcher we don't need.

Mr Trout starts making his money IMMEDIATELY last night.
What a stud.
That's how you spend money. Proactively make the best players in the game comfy and they will produce for you.

BALTIMORE -- In case it wasn't evident before Opening Day, we now know why the Baltimore Orioles added another slugger to a team that led the major leagues in home runs last season.
Nelson Cruz celebrated his Orioles debut by hitting a tiebreaking home run in the seventh inning, and Baltimore beat Jon Lester and the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox 2-1 Monday.
Signed as a free agent in February, Cruz lined a solo shot into the left-field seats to put the Orioles ahead. He hit 27 homers last year with Texas

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? You can be good at something, and yet, want to get even better?
Weird

Saw the note about Baylor previously, turns out

Don Baylor broke his leg catching Vlad's first pitch. Ouch.

Ummm, the Twins made Joe Mauer "comfortable" and look what we get in return.
