And away we go. The Cardinals called up prized prospect Oscar Taveras on Saturday, and already, he's being compared to Albert Pujols. "There's definitely a high level of anticipation and excitement," Mozeliak said. "When you take the time and invest heavily in the international market, you're looking to someday maybe getting a return like this." Taveras, their best hitting prospect since, well, Pujols, hit .325 at Class AAA-Memphis this season with seven home runs and a team-leading 40 RBI. He has been on fire the last 10 games, hitting .462 with a .488 on-base percentage and .641 slugging percentage. The Cardinals planned to be patient and keep him in the minor leagues, but after losing four out of five games entering Saturday, the thinking changed.
