Final 3 minutes weren't fun at all for SCSU fans. This makes two great regular season teams in the last three years knocked out in the first round. I'm in mourning.

I'm way worse than that. The regular season is so long and we play so well to be the clear #1 seed in the nation, only to lose in the freaking first round of the tourney. If you don't know how painful that is. Teams need to take advantage of their opportunities. You can't expect to be a top 2 seed in the nation all that often. I do take some consolation from knowing that the regular season best is far harder to accomplish than the tourney title, but it isn't much consolation.

So your saying that Air Force for you is what Holy Cross is to Gopher fans?

First of All the Gophers have won some national titles. SCSU hasn't. We have been a much better team recently though. As for Holy Cross are they some nunnery somewhere? Do they have a women's hockey team? Ferris state is another team in that vein.

Mn Duluth beats Air Force! I would've liked to see St. Cloud St. in there, but it didn't turn out that way. Get it all, boys!

Go UMD. If they win it will be a team From Minnesota and the NCHC. On the other hand it will be painful to see a team that SCSU beat 3 out of 4 being awarded the national championship.

UMD played a great game last night and is looking real good. Glad at least one team from Minnesota still in the mix and will be hoping they can go all the way.
One thing I find interesting is there is a chance that after today's games the Frozen Four could end up looking like a B10 tourney with UMD the only outlier.

A sad day for hockey fans.

A bus crash involving a junior hockey team in Western Canada has killed 14 people and left others seriously injured.

The Humboldt Broncos, who play in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, were travelling to a semi-final play-off game on Friday evening at 17:00 local time (23:00 GMT) when their bus collided with a transport truck.

There were 28 people travelling on the bus, aged between 16 and 21, with the 14 others on board taken to hospital where three remain in a critical condition.

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian prime minister, tweeted his condolences to the families affected by the tragedy amid an outpouring of grief on social media.

Geez. I heard about the accident this a.m. What a tragedy. These things really affect me since I've become a parent. Thoughts for everybody involved.

Yup, I love the way they play together and for each other. That is what I want to see out of the Gophers, instead of a bunch of individuals looking to pad their resume for the next level....

Those alumni truly care about the program

Congrats to UMD on the national title. Still since my team won the conference and finished second in the conference playoff ahead of UMD it hurts. To add insult to injury we just took an assistant coach from UMD to be our new head coach. We are only good enough to attract an assistant coach.

You should have started a Donor Fund. I don't think St. Cloud has the $$$ to pay for a higher end coach....from what I hear the UMD Assistant is very good.

Had a dream that I watched Tom Serratore "work a room" last night. He was schmoozing at a fancy hotel conference and I was in awe. Very strange dream.
