They always say that their very good. Maybe he will be very good, but I think we should at least have been able to poach a successful head coach like Hastings from Minnesota State. We run one of the most successful hockey programs in the land (until the NCAA Tourney), but we're too cheap to pay for a good coach? WTF.

Status: offline 		Gophers and UMD skate to a 1-1 draw to open the season at the DECC. Rematch tonight at Mariucci to complete the weekend. It would be nice to see the Gophers get a win over the reigning national champs to go with the tie to start their season out.

Those are the rankings I have always considered official. I don't see any other Minnesota teams listed in the top 20. I even checked the other 16 schools receiving votes and didn't see a Minnesota school listed there. Are you fans of UND or Wisconsin? I don't give a rat's ass about either of them.

Gophers got a 7-4 win in the second game. I personally think UMD is good, but only got the #1 ranking based on winning the tourney last year. I don't think they were deserving of that ranking.

Status: online 		Good Job Beavers getting the tie at UND. SCSU had a nice sweep over your WCHA cohort this weekend. Now ranked 3rd in the USA today poll and fifth in the real poll. Hopefully moving up.

Status: offline 		In a series that began in 1970 and spans 41 games, the 2-1 victory and 1-1 draw combine for the Beavers first series victory over North Dakota. BSU is now 4-31-6 versus UND all-time, however, the Beavers are 1-0-2 in thier last three match ups with UND.

How is North Dakota ranked #16 and Bemidji State is ranked #25 after what happened this weekend? There were no other games for either of these teams to make an argument that North Dakota is better!! NONE!! I think Bemidji State should be Top 10 just like all the other Minnesota teams. No respect, as always.

Loved the West of Minnesota and North of South Dakota answer to your own question. As for the rankings the Voters have a right to believe Bemidi winning was a fluke. It may be unfair. North Dakota is a big name in the College Hockey world and Bemidji is less so. This is very early and the truth will come out as the season goes along.
Last year SCSU and Denver both showed they were the better team than UMD all season long. Yet UMD goes on a 4 game hot streak after barely making the NCAA tourney and supposedly that proves they were the best hockey team in the land. What's fair?

Status: online 		The USA Today poll would really piss you off. They have UND 12 and Bemidji doesn't even make the teams receiving votes. However that may be because it hasn't been updated yet.
I just double checked. That is from 10/8/18. Not updated yet.
