IMO

Asiata is more effective, because the D will not key on him compared to when Peterson is in the game.

Which in part, is why Bridgewater isn't improving that much. AP/AP/pass/punt

Notice early when they didn't tie their sled to the run game, they got down the field.

Ed, I agree. Offense becomes too one dimensional with AP.

I can't believe that after all these years, he hasn't learned to catch the ball. Simply able to run the ball is no longer a precious commodity in a player in today's NFL.

Oh for the days of Chuck Foreman.

Adrian is more of a liability than asset.

They should have moved him this offseason for a bag of balls.

Teddy isn't developing as he should with continued emphasis on getting Peterson the ball.

The common thread here is the terrible OLine. They can't protect for Teddy and they can't open holes for Peterson.

They opened better holes for Asiata than for Peterson near the end when they needed it.

We lost two of the best O lineman before the season. We knew it would be a problem. But when the offense is too directed around an former superstar instead of being creative and using all weapons, it will suffer.

Peterson can't block and he can't catch a pass out of the backfield if his life depended on it. He is a one dimensional player who hasn't broadened his game. All he cares about is his own yardage.

He's caught passes out of the backfield this year. His first TD in the NFL was a pass play. I know they don't throw it to him much, but he can catch.
I know he can't block, but come on.

Better holes for Asiata is true because the D isn't cheating up to stop him like they do Peterson. Teddy needs to take advantage of that, but the Oline gives him no time.

Can't cover? Check
Can't run the ball? check

Can't protect the QB? check

Can't stop the Leo's? check

A lot accomplished in this first half.

Nice rare road win for the Vikes.
A couple outstanding touchdown catches by Rudolph and Diggs. Defense took over from there.

1st Quarter was pretty dismal, the rest of the game, not so much. Nice adjustments by team. O line is still a disappointment. Can't create holes for running, can't protect Teddy.

Once again, however, personnel decisions rear their ugly head.

so ...... you still gonna tell me Diggs wasn't ready to play for us the first couple weeks?
Minnesota teams have this antiquated idea that rookies and young kids need time to sit and watch.

psssst .... newsflash .... the good ones can play.

With a big-play receiver like Diggs, the Vikings may have an easier time on the road this season. The rookie had six receptions for 108 yards, giving him 19 catches for 324 yards in three games after being inactive for the first three games.

Diggs and Anquan Boldin, who made his debut with the Arizona Cardinals in 2003, are the only NFL players since at least 1960 to have that many catches and yards receiving in their first three games, according to STATS

Wonder if Turner will mention slowing down the Diggs love at this weeks press conference?

Unfortunately, probably will.
Norvs one of those guys who like to scoff at us armchair QBs
EVEN when all the RESULTS make ol Norv's decisions look wrong.

Is it really THAT hard to say ... "we screwed up on this guy. Shoulda counted on him right away"
And I don't give a shit if Diggs disappears from this day forward ... it was still the wrong decision to tell us that he wasn't ready.
Just admit it once in awhile, coaches ... it actually feels good.

See that block on the pass to Line?

Diggs layed out the d-back.

Charles Johnson can move to the 3rd WR spot.

No way should Diggs sit now at all.

Even Ron Gardenhire wouldn't be dumb enough to sit out Diggs at this point. ... Would he?

Now if only his work ethic would rub off on Cordarelle Patterson...

From the end of the first quarter to the last two Lions Drives (which the Vikes were playing pseudo prevent) the Lions got exactly 5 yards of total offense.

Five

Our Defense adjusted and took over the game and the offense did just enough.

Don't see that happening. What a shame.

Went back to being aggressive on D.

Why go away from what works? Sometimes coaches out-think themselves.

I think they better look aggressively for a center in the offseason.

Probably have their next center from the Hodges trade.

BTW, the linebackers still struggle in coverage. Blitzing, they're pretty darn good.

I'd be surprised. That kid was a depth move. If he's the starter next year either he really defied expectations, or we're really in trouble.

So ...... Waiting for the next whiners excuse as to why the Patriots kick the hell out of everyone.
Let's see, we used the cheating thing, the stealing signs, the air out of the ball, what's next?

They employ great FB coaches and players.
That's the dirty secret.

They get a lot out of guys that aren't supposed to be able to deliver this kind of performance

Blount: off the scrap heap 2 times

Edelman/Amendola

The scatback out of the backfield.

Kudos for personnel folks there. It's not all draft picks.

Only concern should be keeping Brady from getting hurt. Miami had a lot of shots on him.

Belichick sold his soul to the devil?????? like Joe Boyd / Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees.....

I better be careful........such a statement might get me dragged into the religion thread....
