Yes it was. AP played like a beast. Barr was awesome on D. Exum did well in his first extended action.

Outstanding bounce back
Thought this would be a very telling game
Atnalta needed it more than we did. Good sign.
AD returned to being an amazing athlete yesterday.
He WILLED us to that win.
And our D is starting to be filled with beasts. Looking up.

Won that game with backup safeties, and held the passing game down.

Huge test this week. Back to the hunted vs the hunter. This is where they seem to have issues.

Seattle is en fuego. Peterson has rarely(if you look at his numbers) run well outdoors in cold weather.

Had thought the Seattle game was away.
Thrilled it's not.
We can beat them here.

Julio Jones was nullified by a secondary that featured Exum and Blanton at the safeties for most of the game. Barr was awesome. You can never consider him to be out of the play. Just a great physical specimen with great instincts and technique. All you need to know about Adrian is that he was so good that he overshadowed Barr's performance. He ran like he was mad at the grass.

Even great RBs like AD have games and stretches of games ... Where they dance and hesitate instead of BURSTING thru holes.
And they usually deny the dancing and hesitating.
Anyone who says there wasn't a difference in his approach yesterday is blind, or a liar.
Mad at the grass .... Perfect.
Busted thru grown men arm tackles like they were soft weeds. Loved it.

TD Run

Outstanding blocking

Kalil
Ellison

I rip on these guys pretty good for sucking in the pass protection game. It's glaring vs really good defenses.

I also think Clemmings has made Loadholt obsolete. He's not great, but I think he's better than Loadholt.

And it was nice to hear that the team in general was PISSED off that GB had disrespected them by the extra effort after whistles, etc.
AD took some late shots even yesterday, and he and his boys up front more than made up for them late.
Wish our hockey team played with that chip.

There is a mental block when it comes to playing the Pack

Has to be

DET and CHI go to Lambeau and stuff it down their throats.

GB came to MN and shoved it down the Vikes throat.

That's a pretty low bar. Plus he absolutely sucks at pass blocking. But, agree. Clemmings will likely get better and Loadholt is well on the downside of his career.

Btw ... Dumb guy here, need some clarification.

Our excitable WR makes a helluva play, gets up, spins the ball harmlessly on the ground near no one.
That's unsportsmanlike, fifteen yards.

Last week, huge part of game, our young QB gets crushed by a fat slob GB rusher, who picks up the ball and violently spikes it in our QBs face.
That's nothing, no call, no harm no foul, huh?

Trying hard here to understand.

I know. And the Vikes have been paying Loadhold wayyy too much for what they were getting back.

This officiating crew at ATL was anal. The clipping call was amazing to me.

Peterson has taken his hat off twice in 2 weeks and hasn't been flagged. Lucky.

He spun it right next to the head of a defender who was on the ground. I don't think he intended it. I think he just didn't see him there. But yeah, against the Pukers I couldn't believe Teddy could get clubbed in the head and facemasked on the same play without a call.

Are you talking about the one that cost Atl a TD? I didn't see the play, but Bersich thought it was a good call on a dirty play. Again, I didn't see it, so I really don't know.

Thing was, it was within 5 yards. Lineman was in front of the LB, and he moved laterally, then got hit in the back. Can't remember last time clipping was called since the push/back call was instituted.

It was the correct call and an easy call. Not sure why Ed is excusing a player taking a guy out at the knees from behind...

Not excusing it. Just surprised they'd call it period, let alone on a running play at the goal line.

Ironic part is that last week vs GB, an even more obvious clip on our guy went unpenalized, and excused by the national crew.

Hmmmm.

The discrepancies you've brought up today are absolutely maddening.

Consistency would be soooooo nice.

Like in the Pitt/Seattle game. There was an INT where they guy went to the ground and there appeared to be a little simultaneous possession and the ball popped out. The 'replay guy' they had on the line was sooooo sure it was one way and they called it another. Jim Nantz pointed out that different guys making the call would have had two very different interpretations. Game changers these calls and non calls sometimes.

I still think the NFL should have full time refs. The game involves too much money now.
