Yep, Josh was much improved last year. He still isn't starting caliber and is definitely a depth guy at this point.

I predict McCarthy re-assumes the playcalling, and the Packers come out sizzling on Sunday afternoon.

Zimmer realizes the team cannot get over-confident. I think that was one of the biggest factors in the opener.

The finger stab by the Mpls North player was a pretty cheap and stupid shot.

Caledonia out-scored their opponents 497-0 this year in the first half.

33-0 halftime average. Unreal.

Awww

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has a partially torn plantar fascia ligament in his left foot, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Manning was listed as probable to play before Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a rib cage injury in addition to the plantar fasciitis he had been dealing with all week, which Schefter reports worsened after the game.

Manning broke the record for most passing yards of all-time during Sunday’s 29–13 loss to the Chiefs before he was benched in the second half and replaced by Brock Osweiler. Manning threw four interceptions and completed just five of 20 passes for 35 yards against Kansas City.

After the game, head coach Gary Kubiak said that he should not have started Manning in light of his various injuries, but stressed that he will remain the starter as long as his health allows.

Eli Manning played with fully torn plantar fascia in 2009; Peyton Manning's is partial tear, which is more painful to play through.

Always loved the name Caledonia.......there was a Caledonia ND that was a boom town when the Red River Valley was developed by the Hudson Bay Trading Company....now only a handful of houses remain.

There was a good point made during the broadcasts, that many of the powerhouses have to react to finally playing a competitive game for more than the first couple series.
It's a true problem for some teams.
Many from down here get to the playoffs and have never played their regulars more than two quarters a night.
It's a good problem, but a problem.

seven classes in MN HS football....I think it is too many.......but it is one reason that some of the out state teams don't get competition during the regular season.

but.....

SD with about 1/8 the HS student enrollment just expanded to 7 classes a couple of years ago. The Sioux Falls teams were dominating the other large schools.....

To think it wasn't that long ago that there was one class in MN Hockey.

The Minnesota State High School League says it will discipline a Minneapolis North football player after an incident at the Prep Bowl Saturday.
The player stuck his fingers through the face mask of Minneota High School running back Isaac Hennen during the fourth quarter of the Class A championship game at TCF Bank Stadium.
Hennen left the game for a few plays but returned to score a touchdown in Minneota's win against Minneapolis North.
The State High School League said North's Antwan Cobble will be punished for the incident. It did not say how the player would be penalized.

#1 in rushing
#2 scoring defense
#3 3rd down defense

Maybe it's because of who they've been playing.

But 3rd down D is one of the biggest stats to me. They had a hard time getting off the field in that situation last year.

I loved it when hockey only had 1 class. We were minnows and never came close but we were allowed to attend the games all day long. We would pile in a car and go. We would literally take a map to understand where some of the teams came from.
