The people in the Vikings forum are funny. Some how, with this OLine, think/thought we are/were elite. The goal for this year is simple. Continue to grow the D, try to develop some reliable weapons for next year and get some playoff experience (Wild Card).

Anything more and it's gravy and even the playoffs didn't seem probable at the beginning of the year.

My bad.
Captain Morgan and I decided early on that we may sneak out a win today with smoke and mirrors.
(The Captain and I have been known to make some horrific decisions, granted ......)

I really like the Cards this year.
Loved their game in Seattle, where they had every reason to lay down .... and didn't.

Me too my man. I was much more optimistic about today versus Thursday. It seems this team still needs a few kicks to the nads (SF, GB...today). It didn't help that Barr and Smith couldn't play. Barr's athleticism alone would have mitigated Wilson's scramble.

I think SEA is starting to hit its stride. Wilson isn't tied to BeastMode any more. Imagine that?

Not tied to the guy you HAVE TO give it to xxxxx amount of times, and they open up the offense.

Sweet day today for Bevell. Shredded zimmer's D. they DID have Chilli's Kick Ass offense today.

Meanwhile the Vikes offense is as imaginative as brown grass in December.

Anyone else feel like every time Wilson touched the ball, something great was gonna happen for them?

Teddy rarely gives me that feel.

Template to beat the Pats:

1. Play them when all their starting WR's are on the IR
2. Get a PR for a TD
3. Get a INT for a TD
4. Run a wrong route in the EZ AFTER Brady has thrown it

Did we have THAT great a roster when Favre came in and made us pretty damn efficient offensively?
Any better than we have now?
I remember Favre getting immense pressure, and still making plays.
And when he made plays, it opened up the run game.

Run for your life, after you've held the ball too long. That's excitement.

I'd say Favre was the best OC we've ever had.

Everytime he touches it I feel like there is going to something special but salty to help the hamburger.

I hated Favre, hated him until he played for us.

The grit, determination, and the pounding he took in the NFCCG is something I will never forget.

Dude had brass ones.

I know, unfortunately for me I've never been able to shake that.
Probably ruined him for me, thanks a lot.
Of course, he doesn't really help his cause either.

Got a couple ex-friends that literally hate me for that.
Sorry, can't get it out of my head either.
And I gotta empty out stuff like that, daily.

"We're not as good as we think we are." - Zimmer

Seems to be a common thread with this team. Win, get overconfident, get kicked back to reality.

Don't worry, the team they are tied with is the same way. They just have Rodgers to help hide it sometimes.

One of the most amazing performances I've ever seen. Nothing but respect for that man. He deserved better in that game. He deserved an offensive line that didn't leak like a sieve. He deserved a running back that didn't have his hands squeezed so tightly around his own throat that he couldn't hold on to the ball. He deserved a head coach with a brain. Never should have come down to that INT.

He had the single greatest season ever for a Vikings QB. And he did it in spite of the hair brained moron at head coach. Even Tice could have won a super bowl with that team.

Unfortunately I was there. Probably one of the worst experiences of my life. Oh well. At least the tickets were free.

One of your best posts ever.
We've seen shitty QBing
That year we got to see what a real QB could do for us.
Hated the man too, but the abuse he took for us that day and season was admirable as hell.

Thanks Scott. I hated him too...........before he played for us. The definition of "winner". What QB takes a beating like that and keeps on playing? Nothing could keep him off the field. Those guys don't exist anymore.
