AD is not a great blocker by any measurement, but neither is McKinnon. AD definitely runs better with Teddy behind center. He's not a great receiver, but there has been improvement in that area.
I agree about the formation giving away the play. IMO that is more a reflection on Norv than AD. McKinnon has looked really good in the open field. I believe we are a better team utilizing both.

Our biggest issue remains the Ol which seems to limit Norv and Teddy.

The O-line seems to have improved a bit the last couple of games with pass blocking but the run blocking has not been very good the past couple of weeks. Too many 1-2 yard runs, and quite a few 0 and negative yard gainers.

Bosa, Jones, and Elliott from THEE Ohio State will be in the draft.
No shocker, but will make things interesting.

Is there a more rah rah player than CP? Hasn't even had a good ride but he is always pumped.

Webb was good for that too.

Bridgewater's release is too inconsistent. Was dynamite last week.
Missed a huge play early, a couple after that on the first drive act like they're catapulted.

What choices.

Win and have the 'Hawks come in and kick A again.

Lose and have to go back to Lambeau.

What imagination

Again

Pete, Pete, Incomplete, Punt

At least the fake punt was a pleasant surprise. Norv didn't call that one.

NFC Division Champs. It wasn't pretty or easy, but it was sooner than expected. Zimmer is a good one. Our prize is a rematch with the SeaChickens, which is not going to be easy.

Patterson gets bailed out by an INT in the end zone.

Rhodes finally played like last year.

The offense cannot play like it did in this last game in the playoffs, and have a chance to win.

I've been a Teddy backer up until now. I'm no longer on board with him. He was brutal. No way on earth that game should have come down to that. This offense is borderline inept. Zimmer deserves an award for sneaking eleven wins out of this team. Kudos to the defense for an awesome game. But it's going to be a blood bath next week. This offense is brutal.

Turner really refuses to open it up.

Zimmer may be contributing to it. But soooo conservative.

Hope the coaches realize we've already outperformed in year 2. It's all gravy from here on out. No reason not to throw caution to the wind, now. If we get Joseph back, we can handle anything they can throw at us. Last time we were without Harrison Smith & Barr, IIRC, plus Linval. I think we've got enough athletes on D to keep SEA under 24. If we just loosen up the playcalling, I think we can win.

You can't discount what Teddy did leading up to this game. It was his first time in a game of this magnitude. It was essentially a playoff game and he tried to do too much last night pure and simple. You could see it in the over throws on open receivers, flubbing the late handoff to AP and that stupid left handed pass attempt. You cannot dismiss what an absolute piece of shit this O-line is. GB's make shift o-line was better than ours. Berger and Harris have been decent, but Kalil and Fusco have just gotten abused all season. Matthews looked 5 years and several injuries younger going against Kalil. The coaches have all but removed 7 step drops from the offense because the line can't hold pass blocks that long.

Teddy showed an uncharacteristic lack of poise last night. He did get a big win against a team the Vikings have traditional wet themselves against on their home field. I am pretty confident he will be under control and much better next week. Don't forget the kid just turned 23 in November. He will get better.

Cannot believe what an idiot Manziel is. I was pushing they'd draft him.

So glad that did not happen.

I fear the NFL is going to do everything in it's power to get Manning back to the Superbowl.

The Good:

Vikings did not wet themselves and won a huge game against their biggest tormentors and won the NFC North division.

For one night Barr and Kendricks looked like the best tandem of LB in a nickel set in the NFL.

Xavier Rhodes was on a whole other level last night. Just tremendous.

The D line kept the heat on Rodgers all game and forced him to throw over and around obstacles.

Griffen was in full beast mode. The one sack he got was pure relentlessness. Refusing to give up on the play.

Defense shut down Lacy and the running game without Linval Joseph.

The Bad:

Sendejo. My God, he is just brutal. I did a double take when I saw he led us in tackles. I can only surmise that the official scorers were tracking missed tackles and put that number in the wrong category. I don’t know how many times he missed guys who weren’t even moving. He turned a few plays that should have been a loss, no gain or short gain into big gains.

The O-line. Couldn’t open running lanes against a terrible run defense. Pass blocking was brutal as always.

Teddy was clearly pressing and trying to do too much. Zimmer talks about the moment never being too big for Teddy. Last night looked like the moment was too big.

Newman got abused last night. Rodgers went after Newman and had a lot of success.

The Ugly:
Patterson. How the f*** do you get tackled and stripped by a kicker?

Then laugh on the sidelines about it?

Yep. When I saw him laughing after, I wanted him cut on the spot.

Just listened to Everson Griffen on the radio talking about playing for Zimmer. He says this is the kind of coach he had been waiting to play for his whole career. Said he loves football more than anyone he has ever known. And .... "He's always crabby, but that's just who he is."

Great stuff Tim and Ed

Very happy we won the division
Very happy about the fake punt
Very happy Adam Thielen contributes
Very happy we have McKinnon
Very happy the refs treated us fairly one time in that place
Very happy to hang on after blowing a 17 point handed-to-us lead... barely

Still pissed at the offense
Still pissed at Patterson
Still pissed at Patterson laughing
Still pissed that our QB and RB couldn't put more thought into the biggest hand-off of the game
Still pissed that our coaches don't realize you have to keep scoring in this league or you will get caught and lose 99% of the time (thankfully Rodgers wasn't lucky Rodgers last night)

The D was terrific for the most part, simply ran out of gas by being on the field constantly, because of our inability to understand moving the chains wins games in more than one way.
Most of the offensive performances were Ponderiffic or Webbtastic. Worried by this.

Sums me up as well.

Elated for the win against them....but barring a "Meadowlands in 2005"-level of good fortune, am already mourning the inevitable one-and-done. Couldn't have drawn a worse matchup.
