Was "very concerned" Common's take?

Chris Mortensen ✔ @mortreport
Vikings' concern re: Bradford left knee (two ACL repairs) but hope. MRI Tuesday was negative after swelling, pain, discomfort, per sources.

Andy Jerome Carlson‏@AndyCarlsonShow 58m58 minutes ago
Should be noted that Bradford's MRI was on Tuesday, was negative, and has been practicing (albeit limited) all week.

Adam Schefter‏@AdamSchefter 16m16 minutes ago
Vikings HC Mike Zimmer said he anticipates Sam Bradford, despite his knee injury, starting Sunday's game against Steelers.

To his credit, Sam did make it almost 1 whole game before getting hurt.

I guess 6 pressures is just too many...

It's been fun
But ....

I'm dead serious about one thing.
This Sunday, after ONE blah play from Bradford, there will be panic and hysteria on TalkVikes
After two or three blah plays, there will be human sacrifices , heads spinning off posters bodies, and cats driving cars.
Several blah plays and a loss? Well, it's been fun on here. Been a great run. But we'll be done because the Internet will explode.
I've never seen a fan base so primed to bail on someone.
He had to have the best QB week in FB last week, and he STILL is getting tossed around all week.
You'd think when a franchise has wheeled out Spergeon Wynn, TJack and Sam Ponders husband, (just to name a few) we'd be giddy with this guy.
Instead, were primed for Armageddon around here, after some check downs and GASP! An ncompletion or two.
The guy throws better passes in difficult spots, than any QB I've seen wear a Vikings uniform. And I was born the same year the Vikngs were. There. I said it.
Done railing about it. Don't understand it and never will.
Carry on.

If we win Sunday we are legit
If we lose, it's not the end if us.
The steelers are legit and NEED a good performance worse than we do.
Would love to see a win. Won't shock me but it will get my attention.

I like Sam, hope he stays healthy. Given time, he throws a very accurate ball and makes good decisions. He's shown some toughness and willingness to take a hit to make a play. If he continues to play like he has he will rise to the top of the Viking QB's in pretty short order.

I think we'll be legit if we stay healthy. A loss at PIT is not the end of the world, but hopefully we are at least competitive.

Nor me.

Did Bradford injure himself during a TD celebration in the first game?

Pretty much ruined everyone's day...

And we're back to the main problem with Sam.

He has so many of the things you want in a QB. Amazing arm talent - velocity, accuracy, touch. He can make every throw you'd ever dream of, he's capable of reading defenses and making great decisions. He's even quite a bit more athletic than he looks.

But...

Availability is as important as anything else. And Sam has now played in 79 games and missed 35. That's just not even close to acceptable.

How do you move forward with that kind of uncertainty?

Get the best backups you can and sign him (Sam) to 1 or 2 year contracts.....until you find a better franchise QB.

I hate that plan.

Anyone good enough isn't coming as a back-up and if they did, its not at all cost effective/feasible.

You can work around a QB missing a game or two in the season, but what if its late in the year? Not to mention Sam has a history of season-ending injuries.

I don't think it is ideal either....Teddy, Case, and the new kid are probably right up there in terms of backups (minus Kap of course).
