RIP Wade Wilson. The former Vikings QB passed away today, on his 60th birthday.

Same age as me.

Super Bore 1st half

Unless you're Mike Zimmer who is in "I told you so" mode.

2nd half too. McVey got his ass handed to him by BB.

Yup

School was in session

Gold pants covered up the pee stains. The oline, let by former Viking Sullivan, looked like the Vikings' oline.

Golf hasn't been the same once Kupp was injured. For an offensive genius McVay sure used base sets a ton.

The schemes BB was using to bring pressure were ingenious and innovative, and won the game.
I did not like McVay, .... until he admitted as much.
That's the first step to greatness, learning from a master, and accepting blame and then moving forward to make sure it never happens to you again.

If by awesome, you mean so boring that I wanted to hang myself by the end of the game, I agree.

Another year added to Spielman's contract.

Just another year they won't have a real offensive line.

No salary cap on coaches so bring in 5 new ones and hope the same 4 guys can be taught to man the 5 positions like All Pro's. Hey, if nothing else, it's a unique approach.

80% chance Murray is playing baseball in 3 years. He's going for the story.

No offensive linemen selected yet. This draft is setting up perfectly for the Vikes.

Do we understand that the drafting of one Center will not instantaneously fix the offensive line?

If he's really good it helps a lot.

Most likely Elf moves to G and the guy we picked up from the Titans is the other G and we have a serviceable line. I'd like to see a TE or WR in 2nd and a depth OL in 3rd or 4th with a DT in the other.

Yeah, we should've drafted at least 4 or 5 O-Linemen so far.

Not an answer to the question.

I don't think so. It improves one spot, maybe one and a half at most. But I do not disagree with the selection.

Compare it to signing a DH in baseball. It fills one slot of 9, not including the pitcher.

A new center in football doesn't change a whole helluva lot. It just doesn't. John Sulivan was a late-rounder for a reason. Most Centers are late-rounders for a reason. It's a plug-and-play position. Fact. Sorry for that fact, but it's a fact.

Ideally you draft a C in rounds 5, 6 or 7.

Mike Zimmer wants to run the ball and last year’s fired offensive coordinator, John DeFilippo, felt they couldn’t because of shoddy guards. Those guards, Mike Remmers and Tom Compton, are gone. But their replacements, Danny Isidora and Josh Kline, are not much better. Bradbury can take over one of their spots or play his college position at center, moving Pat Elflein to guard. However it shakes out, this is case of player and need meeting together perfectly. New offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski wants to employ an outside-zone scheme to fit Kirk Cousins, who is at his best throwing play-action off those outside zone looks. Bradbury is viewed unequivocally as the best outside zone blocking interior lineman in this draft.

GRADE: A+

Since you're second guessing, who would you have chosen?

I agree that C is generally a lower valued position, but if this guy is special, enough he's a good pick. I admit I don't know a whole lot about him, but he was highly regarded by many.
