Bend but don’t break defense
Somehow it works
Some of the time
Cannot get deep in the playoffs with that and a clam up offense
Cook was a tribute to the Jerry Burns offense with all the plays to Cook

Cook reminds me of Foreman....deadly in the passing and run game.

Chuck Fioreman-ish for sure Ed
I especially love it when he trucks a DB at the end
Cook is an elite player. He’s everything to us.
Love how hard he goes on every play.

I got the same Foreman vibe last night. He can cut, he can run over, around or though you. He can run between the tackles or outside and catch the ball in space and attack. He is like a faster, but a little smaller version of Chuck Foreman.

Dare I say it.
The OL is doing a pretty damn good job.
The play calls on late series hamstring them.
They can’t block 10 run stoppers.
Play calling has been great early. Awful late.
Fix it.

The line was definitely more Jekyll than Hyde last night. For the most part, Cousins stayed on his feet and the backs had cracks to run through, all against a pretty formidable defensive front.

And, of course, no Pukers victory would be complete without questionable rulings, calls and non calls. The NFL should just admit that they want Erin Rodgers in the playoffs at all costs.

When Cousins just dropped back it wa trouble
Keep him moving
Makes the line better

On the winning td

O’Neill got knocked on his butt by Lawrence
Took just long enough that Cook was out of reach at the one for Lawrence

Cousins only sacked once
Couldn’t believe Dallas overloaded multiple times away from Elflein

RG sub came in
Road grader

Keep playing him

And Cook has 100 before the last three “attempts”
Should have an asterisk

100 yard day before coaching stupidity

Usual fare. Phantom roughing the passer call that changed it from 4th down and Packers punting out of their own endzone, to a fist down for the Packers. Pass interference when Erin threw the ball way out of bounds. At least one missed intentional grounding on Erin. You know, same shit different game.

I couldn’t believe how the reversed the fumble call in the first half

After watching the Rams give up a score figured Dallas would get the same

That was weird. Michaels and Collinsworth sounded truly baffled as the Dallas player was running into the endzone. Everyone in creating except for the officiating crew, knew it was an incomplete pass.

That first play call in the last series was a near disaster. That was exactly why you don't call a toss sweep in that situation. It is a potential big reward run play, but it comes at a higher risk. Higher turnover potential, higher risk of loss of yards potential. Just have Cook follow the human battering ram on that first play and get some positive yardage. Then you have a little more room to operate and some more options.

When the other team is selling out on the run, be aggressive and play action pass.

Can’t pass

It might result in a mistake

Especially that deep in your own territory

Some coaches feel that fear
And do the right thing
Others
Pucker up and make matters worse
If not that moment later on in the same game or season . Zimmer is that way. Old school pucker up

(See Denny Green NFC title game vs Atlanta ; first half int led to points later he took a knee)

No problem with that. Even though an incompletion allows Dallas to hang on to a time out. One first down ends the game without a punt. My point was that if you are going to run, don't run a high risk play.

Why would you EVER pitch the ball outside on a run play on your fifteen yard line? Hand the damn ball off and get your two yards. That reminded me of the infamous Giants/Eagles in 1978 with Joe Pisarcik muffing a hand off with thirty seconds to go and the Eagles out of time outs. Shortly after that, teams started the victory kneel down with under two minutes to go in the game. Personally, I would like the NFL to eliminate the kneel down and require teams to at least try to make positive yardage on a play or the clock automatically stops. In fact, I think the clock should stop if the defense causes the opposing offense negative yards on a play with under two minutes to go. Kneeling down is like deliberately striking out in baseball. It makes no sense. Rather than kneel down, just let the clock run out if the opposing team is out of timeouts. No team has EVER fumbled a kneel down play to my knowledge and they probably never will.

I've always felt that way too.
Make their millions, but their life expectancy and career longevity is probably the worst of any profession.

That's becoming a pretty sweet sidebar to each road game
Viking fan base seems to be growing across the country
Or more are traveling to games maybe.
I know 6-8 guys who go to several road games a year. Unheard of back in the day.
Its an awesome experience to be a road fan, tho. I get the excitement.

Russell showed his MVP credentials last night

That’s going to be a tough road game

Seems like every time they play Seattle it’s there

Always a bitch to play there
And as you say … always seems to be there

I haven't seen much of Garapalo
I've seen a lot of Wilson

Wilson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Garapalo

I always get upset that we don't contain Wilson, but ….. no one really can.
It just always felt like he'd win that game last night. By himself if necessary.
Made the huge blunder on the late INT, (on an incredible play by the SF LB) … but you could feel if he got the ball back, they were in big trouble.
Shocks me how many teams just cannot rely on kickers.
There should be a hundred of these guys just drooling at the chance to kick.
The SF walk-on made one nice one, but then developed the yips. There was 0% chance he was ever going to make another one.
You could sense it on him. Guy would have missed a tap-in putt.

Ol reliable Vinateri has the yips badly now

The pressure is great
I get that
Once confidence goes you may as well move on to the next one

Long term with one team is a rarity these days

Gushing over Garapolo I also understand
Starting record

Hasn’t won anything yet

Russell is a stud
Prescott does the same thing
Will definitely cause headaches

Lamar Jackson with more savvy will get like this

And be even more dangerous

Yup, the new-style QB in that mold is just impossible to beat.
Too much pass rush and the field opens up for them.
You're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
You can only "spy" with so many guys before your rush, or your coverage, suffers.
