Some of Cousins' throws have been lousy

Others have been because the pocket is pushing right into his face.

Line got whupped most of the day. D needed to come through and didn't. Blitzed 3rd and 1, and they got the first down. But yeah, that was tough after 2/21 for 20 yards with 3 and Hunter rushing late

Cousins wasn't terrible but wasn't good. Record against teams over 500 continues to be abysmal.

Why did we call timeout near the end of the game. KC was reeling. Timeout came them a chance to stabilize and then make a big play.

An ill timed timeout happened in a college game yesterday....can't remember now which one.

Coaches over coaching.

As Wooden used to say, coach in practice and let them play the game.

Not defending Cousins at all

But

He didn't give up the 91 yard TD run
Or the 20 yard pass at the end of the game
Or miss the extra point
Or call the timeouts that Miles referred to

or block poorly. There's no way KC D is that good that they couldn't get the WR's involved in the second half

Screens and running plays. And not much else. Zimmer got all bent, and dumb ass got what he wanted. Clam up offense.

I know the game you're talking about. Got a stop but had called timeout, then gave up a td.

It was the Thurs night game, 49ers against the Cards.

Here's some reality to face.

The days of this defense being anything close to great are in the rearview mirror. Our dbacks can't cover and our blitzes get picked up pretty frequently.

The middle of our o-line is a huge problem. After a few weeks of improvement, Bradbury was back to making wrong calls and drive killing penalties. He and Elf got thrown around like a couple of rag dolls today.

Zim is incapable of making adjustments in a timely manner..

This team is not set up for any kind of meaningful playoff run.

He makes dumb decisions on defense too. Even on that last drive, we have the fumble / tackle for loss combo to knock them out of field goal range. Next play, he calls a 3 man rush. Result ... the Chiefs get it all back and more on one play.

The coverage is lacking
Tried to double Kelse and he was still open

Dallas will give them fits if Cooper is healthy

IMO Barr should rush way more than cover
Is about time to give Hughes and Alexander more minutes covering the outside vs the slots

Waynes and Rhodes are playing as guys that can’t cover if you don’t get pressure

I wonder what it's like to be a Patriots fan, wake up in the morning, know your team didn't execute and were physically manhandled and see your first loss of the season. But you wake up and know you have a head coach that will address the mistakes, make appropriate personnel changes, won't throw out the baby with the bath water and proclaim to the press that we are going to run the ball more and more and get snarky with the press (well Bill B does that time to time). knowing that the changes will be subtle yet effective. Knowing that it is unlikely your team gets dominated like that ever again this season at the line of scrimmage.

I wonder what it's like

Rushing three when our d-backs are having so much trouble in coverage is just foolish. You need pressure.

To the bolded part; I would actually like to see the Vikings adopt more 3-4 alignments. I think Barr and Hunter would be awesome in stand up end roles.

Waynes was doing OK until yesterday when he just embarrassed himself on the first TD pass from Allen and later when he couldn't even break up passes by interfering. Rhodes? I don't even know what the strength of his game is any more. He was never a speed merchant, but he used to excel at physical play. Now I see receivers toss him aside with ease. I can't remember the last time I have seen him just jam somebody's ass right off the line of scrimmage and that used to be one of his biggest strengths. He just looks done. Terrance Newman looked better at 39 than Rhodes does at 29.
