What's everyone's take on the Big Game?

I cannot believe the spread is that close
I assumed KC would be almost double-digit faves
IF that offense stays hot, they will not be stopped, even by SF's decent defense.
The level KC has been playing at on offense usually takes an entire off-season to scheme for.
Right now, in this short window, they have been un-coverable. I expect that to continue.
I actually WANT SF to win but think it'll be 34-23 KC wins.

I like the more consistent approach of San Francisco. I think they wear down the Chiefs D with their running game and grind out a win.

How do you keep a high powered high scoring offense from beating you? Keep it off the field as much as possible limit their opportunities. You do that by running the ball well. SF is really good at running the ball. They just beat two playoff teams in successive weeks without hardly throwing the ball.

Their Defense is better than just decent. Their running game has been phenomenal and it's more due to scheme than personnel.

I would rather the Chiefs win, but I think SF pulls out a squeaker.

I don't think KC can stop the run....I also don't think SF can stop KC.....going to be a barn burner.

SF runs the ball well, but they aren't afraid to throw the ball late in the game with a lead. In reality you limit the other team's clock time by getting first downs any way you can.

Both teams are built for speed. Spielman and Zimmer should take note.

It will be interesting to see if SF's D can slow down the KC O. If they can, and I think they will, I think the SF O will do enough against the KC D. If it's going to be a track meet I don't think Jimmy G can compete with Mahomes.

I'm kind of rooting for KC, but mainly just want my #'s to come up.

I am really impressed with Samuel and Bourne.....I think SF can keep up if needed. Going into the season it was Pettis and Godwin....those two hardly get off of the bench.

I hope the best parts are later in the game

I’ll miss first couple hours supervising softball/baseball open gym.

First time EVER at the school

A few “captain practice “ have been done in the path

But not six Sunday worth of throwing hitting before practice starts

Why?

Because no one ever would supervise!

Whether you like him/hate him or don't care. I am listening to Colin Cowherd and he said this today:

"I'm picking the Patriots to bounce back if Tom stays. There are only……maybe five……franchises that are more talented top to bottom. Baltimore, KC, SF, MINNESOTA and New Orleans".

Kinda a kick in the ass to our coaching staff if you really think about it. Many on here have said this for years. It's not my opinion but it's something.

Almost was a bust
Coaches kept running him out there as a linebacker in his early days

Finally moved back to end and let him play

Go Niners. If the Niners win, you could make a plausible argument that the Vikes were the 2nd best team. And all this talk of hating cocky baseball teams like the Royals. Well, they don't come much cockier than Patrick Mahomes. I'll be rooting for the non-flashy, old-school smashmouth Niners team.

Predictions? I'll go with 29-13 Niners victory.

Did you catch the LaTroy Hawkins sighting on that pregame promo?

That's an "under" in the anthem time. I clocked it at about 1:53. I believe the over-under was set right at 2 minutes.

I don't understand any way Mahomes can be given MVP of the Super Bowl. He was awful. The award is officially a joke.

Pretty good game
Agree with Matt
Mahomes was average. Not an MVP.
I also hate teams who never even mention their opponents.
Everyone keeps winning titles
We’re over here sucking.

Yeap. It either had to be the RB Williams or the FB from Harvard on SF. Both QB's were awful.

It’s not as easy as Tom Brady makes it look

I didn't see the final stats on Watkins, but it seemed like he had number of long catches. I think he was MVP.

Maybe that Samuel for the Niners shoulda been MVP no matter the winner. He was the most exciting and impactful player on the field all game IMO

He was a warrior early on but didn't have an impact in the 2nd.

Did you see him evade the rush; throw the 50 yard bomb off of his back foot to Hill, throw a perfect pass to Watkins....he was the MVP 2 throwing and 1 rushing TDs against that defense? Damien Williams last play was great but Mahomes wore down that defense.
