Either use Beebe or cut him, too

No wonder Diggs wanted out.

Agree on that one too
Beebe has done nothing but give all

I'd put him in the slot
Irv is a waste on this team. They really don't know how to use him, or he has no clue.

Some really dumb plays are really the only things he's done so far
His penalty yesterday was dumb and timed horribly

Another case of this NOT being brain science rocket surgery

IF you have an immobile QB these days (see Brady) …. you give him an Edelman or a Woodhead or about a dozen other smallish quick scatbacks, to allow for dumpoffs and quick slants , ….. or you will suck
Instead, we flood the field with guys who don't even have time to make a cut before the pressure on Cousins has ended the play.
We're pounding round stakes in square holes again, its what we love to do

I saw enough of JJ to know you don't need to put him in the slot. Go 3 WR with Irv in the Slot; Thielen, JJ out wide.

Use Irv and Kyle in the middle and Cook can still run wild and get Irv blocking in space when needed.

Matt mentioned the last REALLY bad team for Vikings

That's where this bunch is headed

Defensive "genius" that had a terrible team

Repeating itself this year.
Last year, had good tackling corners that couldn't cover.

Now they have corners that can't tackle well nor cover.

Great combination. I honestly don't think with this big of a change pre-season or the other stuff would have mattered much. Those guys either can. Or Can't. More experience in actual games could make them better.

But not with this coach. He needs to go.

Typical Vikings mismanagement all day
Can’t lose yards on crucial drive with couple minutes left, we did
Can’t waste timeouts on plays and calls that don’t deserve them, we did
Can’t go out of bounds when running clock, we did
Can’t take penalties on crucial drives, we did

Can't miss FG's when they aren't.

We don't look like a smart, well coached team. The out of bounds plays by Cook and Rudy were mind blowingly stupid.

What the hell happened to the line on the last series, Cousins had no chance.

That said, we finally saw glimpses of a football team today. Jefferson, Cook, Smith, Harris, 91 looked good at times.

Yep...COVID did hurt us bad. Needed full offseason for CB and Jefferson and a little more time for DE. Is Hunter back next week is the big question.

If you spread teams 3 wide with JJ, Thielen, and Irv with Kyle at TE you will have open guys. Just don't understand not using Irv.

Every team had to deal with the same shortened off season.

This is where coaching and preparedness really takes center stage. Zim=fail

Look at Belicek. 8 opt outs and a new qb yet they look not only competent but actually good.

It's looking a lot like Zim is just in over his head.

Exactly.

Zimmer is not a youth-oriented coach. Has his veterans to rely on.

Grabbed Iloka again. Why? They need safeties? They need guys who can cover. Is Iloka that guy?

The cap hurts a Zimmer coach team more than others IMO because he wants vets. Has little time for youth.

And it just seems very few players get a lot better under him.

These early holes are glaring, and as you said, very indicative that he's over his head, and cannot coach up youth as well as experienced players.

Funniest hot take on this Vikings mess so far for me:

Friend texted me, saying the Vikes should cut Cousins loose and get either Winston or Trubisky because they're more mobile.

Zimmer has no problem throwing young CBs out there....yeah he doesn't like it. All I have to say is you can see what LaFleur has done with the Packers using the same talent as McCarthy.

2 keys to GB and NE---get a coach and a qb. We have an above average coach and an above average qb....need a lot to go right.
NE goes and gets Cam (who still is a high end QB).

Its like a different game than we are used to
And we just stand there with our mouths open
Get on board or get run out of the stadium

Speed

and more speed

and a QB who can read react and make plays.

Is not an overrated concept

I was impressed that KC sacked the elusive Jackson several times. Was proof he still has work to do.

Imagine Patrick had a little extra incentive in the head to head matchup, given NFL and players rated Jackson higher than him

Patrick Mahomes IMO is the best quarterback in the NFL. Hands down. Best player? I'll go with that too.

KC likely knew their back from Super Bowl would opt out. Got another.

Plug 'em in and spread out the field. Lost a starting guard, who's working on treating COVID in Canada? No problem.

Vikings lose a guard and bad goes to worse.
Vikings Trade a WR and start Bisi Johnson, pretending he's a starting Caliber WR. Must be a good blocker for the run game

I'm going with Russell Wilson.

I don't like Wilson because of the Wiscy ties, but damn, he's good.
I'm not sure Seattle is good at all, but he makes them good.
Just one hell of an athlete
Seems if you do not have one of those types playing QB for you, you are no longer legit.

Positive cases for Titans. Vikes and Titans on lockdown.

Why are all the visiting teams (St Louis Cardinals, remember?) getting COVID while visiting Minnesota?

The reality

The Tennessee Titans have closed their facilities until Saturday after three players and five non-players tested positive for COVID-19, a league source told ESPN's Dianna Russini on Tuesday.

The Titans, citing an "abundance of caution," issued a statement Tuesday saying they've halted in-person work Tuesday.

"Out of the abundance of caution, the organization has decided to work remotely today as we follow NFL protocols related to the COVID-19 virus," the team statement said. "Several tests have come back positive and are working through the process of confirming them."

The Titans were without outside linebackers coach and defensive playcaller Shane Bowen for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings due to the COVID-19 protocol. Bowen was placed in protocol after getting test results back Saturday before the team left for Minnesota.

The team was already without offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson, who was placed into the COVID-19 protocol earlier this month. Coach Mike Vrabel had said he hoped WIlson could return to the practice field this week.

LOL

There have been 3 major breakouts in the 4 major team sports.

1. Marlins
2. Cardinals
3. Titans

Two of the three originated in Minnesota, including the two most recent. Trend or mirage?

Didn't originate in MN.
