And the ESPN guys last night were saying its very unlikely Miami trades him because of how important he is to their locker room...

Couldn't have a competent backup for Ponder because they didn't want to hurt him mentally. Same with Cousins.

Sorry, that tells you all you need to know.

Couldn't agree more.

If you can't handle competition for your job, you don't belong in the league in the first place.

Ponder and Cousins are weak under pressure.

I've been saying for years they should draft a QB EVERY YEAR. Sometimes low, sometimes high. We don't have Brett Favre right now. and we can't just leave Spanky MCPeeshispants as our starter for years to come. He has to fear losing his job, either it will cause him to lose his job or he will learn to play a lot better. Either way we'd be better off.

I was there for it all. You couldn't escape it unless you turned off the radio. Snyder was fine with Cousins. Coaches and players loved him, fans were so-so. A lot pined for the rookie year of Griffen and held their ground but nobody in the stands were against him.

Now the GM?? That's a totally different story. Bruce Allen got absolutely roasted over the RG3 thing and hated the fact that he whiffed on that and Cousins (who was a Mike Shanny pick) won the job. He literraly tried to get Cousins to bail to save face. Everytime Allen was asked about him he said "Kurt Cousins blah blah blah". Just totally trying to disrespect him so he'd leave on his own and Allen would save some face.

Everybody knew it and Allen was finally canned after Cousins left and he whiffed again on QB. Dan Snyder is an absolutely terrible owner. The fans hate him with a passion. He's tried to emulate Jerry Jones but has never had an ounce of success.

Jerry Jones really only had success because of the Hershell Walker trade.

Jones managed to create a perception of success for himself because of Jimmy Johnson. Jones' ego couldn't handle all of the credit given to JJ, so he ran him off and has been mired in mediocrity and underachievement ever since.

Broken-hearted Fitz

One day after Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores elevated rookie Tua Tagovailoa to starting quarterback, the recently demoted Ryan Fitzpatrick said the timing of the move "broke my heart," as he wonders whether he has started his last NFL game.

"I was shocked by it. It definitely caught me off guard. It was a hard thing for me to hear yesterday, just kind of digesting the news. My heart just hurt all day. It was heartbreaking for me," Fitzpatrick said Wednesday. "Flo kind of said what he said and said what he said to you guys as well, and that's the decision and the direction that the organization is going in."

"Obviously we've talked in the past, me and you guys, about how I'm the placeholder and this eventually was going to happen," Fitzpatrick added. "It was just a matter of kind of when, not if. It still just ... it broke my heart yesterday. It's a tough thing for me to hear and to now have to deal with, but I'm going to do my best with it."

Why in the hell would a rebuilding Vikings team want a mediocre starting QB like Fitzpatrick to slow things down? He's basically Cousins. We don't need 2.

So the genius Rick Spielman manages to turn a high 2nd round pick into a late 3rd rounder.

Way to go...

Fitz isn't leaving Miami this season.

What I would do is ditch Mannion, Promote one of the UDFA QBs we have on the practice squad and maybe start giving them reps in garbage time (as we will probably be seeing a lot more of that coming soon).

The Vikings lost reserve safety and special teams veteran George Iloka to a torn ACL suffered during Wednesday’s practice, the team’s last on-field session before the four-day, bye-week break over this weekend.

It’s a tough break for Iloka, who was placed on injured reserve and will undergo season-ending surgery, according to a league source, after he re-signed with the young Vikings secondary in September and quickly became a contributor. He played 43 defensive snaps against the Texans during the Vikings’ Oct. 4 win in Houston, replacing Harrison Smith, who was ejected for a hit on Texans tight end Jordan Akins.

Iloka was given the full-time promotion to the active roster Oct. 10. His injury now leaves the Vikings with rookie Josh Metellus behind starters Harrison Smith and Anthony Harris. Cornerback Kris Boyd has taken some practice reps at safety, and defensive back Luther Kirk is a reserve option on the practice squad.

The Wilf's need to make a move here. I think the best move would be to replace Spielman woth Paton on an interim tag and let him sell off our assets

Tyler Johnson caught another TD from Brady. Guess we didn't need him.

Cousins wouldn't have been able to find him, or have time to get it to him.

Bisi Johnson is a stud

SOMEONE finally figured out how lucky Seattle has been
Fun win by the Cards
What a roller coaster
So tired of seeing Wilson win every one of those
This Murray kid is fun to watch.

Fully on the TB bandwagon
Johnson and Winfield are big pieces
Brady and Gronk are GOATs
Didn't care which team won that one, like em both.
But TB might be my horse the rest of the way out.
Pitt and Tenn also a barnburner. Either team could have won that thing.

Terrible INT after the holding call nullified the TD. 3 INT's for the Annointed MVP after a few weeks of the season. Fun game.

Both teams have it figured out. You need to score as many as possible to win. Gas pedal to the floor the entire game.

Play of the year fizzles if your team loses. Heck of an effort by Metcalf. Dude can fly, but they sure had him covered in routes, with only 2 catches. Lockett 200 yards and 3 scores. And they lose.

Enjoyed the Steelers/Titans. Tomlin and company got too conservative (sound familiar) up big. Titans have to open it up a little more early rather than when behind.

Bucs are fun to watch. That MLB and Winfield huge ads the last 2 years for their D. Young guys that can play. A foreign concept for the Vi-kings.

Bill B misses Brady. Cam is NOT it. Going to keep proving that the rest of the year.
