No pass rush and you look at this:

With Wonnum out, the Vikings lose their most productive edge rusher since the bye week. They'll turn to either Jordan Brailford or Eddie Yarbrough to replace him in the rotation at defensive end behind Ifeadi Odenigbo, Jalyn Holmes, and Hercules Mata'afa.

You would think the world was ending, when Kendricks took the day off
Jeezus fellas, step in and play
Are we THAT dependent on one guy?
The DNP lists are crazy in the league when you really look at them, and the good teams just keep counting on next man up
I love the kid, and yesterday was a sure sign of how big he is for us

I had to switch over from TV to radio with 3 minutes left
We're up 8
I literally said to myself ... NO WAY the Jags score a TD AND a 2pter against anyone, so we should be good.
By the time I got to the radio, tie game
I'm like Ron Burgundy, I can't even be mad anymore, I'm more amazed than mad.

In July.

Our Top 2 DLineman: Hunter and Pierce
Top 2 LBs: Kendricks and Barr
Top 2 CBs: Hughes and Hill

I'm amazed too. That we would be in the playoffs if season ended today.

Zimmer has his faults but take away 6 starters(at those positions) on any other playoff team and they would struggle also.

Then you add Wonnum who has been emerging at DE as a rookie was out versus the Jags.....not even sure who the guy that got all the snaps was.

Brailford and Yarbrough both took some of the snaps.

I see the kid Philly drafted returned a punt for a score.

Still thanking them for taking him.

Most receptions 20+ yards downfield:
1. Justin Jefferson - 14
T-2. D.K. Metcalf - 12
T-2. Tyreek Hill - 12

And again in the game yesterday, Feely talked about how they thought the first 2 games he was just a slot receiver.

Smart guys those Vikings coaching/personnel folk are.

Not a surprise

Gregg Williams canned by the J-E-T-S after the all-out blitz at the end of the game that cost them a win Sunday.

His son is on staff, expected to leave as well.

Couple of the talking heads on the cities channels brought it up last night ... "and tell us again, how this kid wasn't ready week 1 or 2, but suddenly was in week 3?"
Lets roll out the excuses again, like we do on all things Viking.

Wanted to scream at the end of GB-Philly too
Gym Shortz is getting all the love there (whats left) in Philly for his work with the D, yeah, true ... but they HAD GB late, they HAD em
And he calls a fire drill blitz on a running down, and GB ends the game on a run burst right past the blitzer taken to the house

Yeah he's another failed coach that I don't get upset about having it shoved down his throat like that.

I see the Taysom experiment continues to flourish at NO

Even threw a couple TD passes this week.

Give some defenses time.

Or maybe I'm just off and he's THE next guy

Loved the mic catching the Eagle yesterday just RAILING the ref standing next to Rodgers, as he milked another play clock about 5 seconds past the 0

Old ref got all huffy and yelled back " jeeez, I got it, I got it"
Yeah, after someone screamed at you
They spend so much time admiring Rodgers that they forget what they are there for

This is not intended to be political in any manner.

Dude does his own thing.

Kaepernick could easily be QB-ing a team at this point if he really wanted to, right?

Some of these crews are something else.

The crew w/the Vikings game is intimidated by replay and wouldn't make a definitive call at all.

Then took forever to make ANY call in turnover situations.

A false start in one game wasn't called until the coach ran behind the reff and yelled about it.

What are they looking at?

See that a lot Ed
Just make the damn call
Waiting for the replay to help you is not how it works
You can see some of them, as you say, ready to bail, with the "I don't know" look going.
Still got to give us a "call on the field", chief.

I wouldn't be surprised if some talk it over and say "call it a ______ and let replay decide".

Got a good laugh over Hill's catch no one knew he made until the replay showed him catching it against his helmet and body.

After KC had punted.

Keep in mind Kaepernick lost his job to Blaine freaking Gabbert before he started his protest business.

He was given a chance to show scouts what he could do last off season, Changed the venue one hour before his workout started. Then he purposely turned it into a side show. Kaepernick isn't even serious about returning to the NFL. No one in their right mind would have pulled what he did if they were serious about a come back.

15. Minnesota Vikings (6-6, LW: 16)

Anquan Boldin had 1,377 yards as a rookie, an NFL record. Justin Jefferson is on pace for 1,335 yards, via the Star-Tribune. Considering that pace counts the first two games in which Jefferson barely played — seriously, it’s still impossible to believe the Vikings staff preferred Olabisi Johnson those first two games — he has a shot at setting a record over the last four games.

yeah and add to that, Ron Rivera vs Cancer while coaching.

Like the Giants, they're getting better. Who knows, maybe the NFC East will have a team at .500 or better by the end of the season.

It really isn't that impossible to believe. Jefferson is exceeding expectations, but there is no way the coaching staff could have known he would. Most young WRs don't learn that quickly. and they had no preseason to evaluate him at all in a game.

Sure I would have liked his production week 1 and 2 in the lineup...but I get why he wasn't.

He's way ahead of the curve production wise for a rookie WR. Even Randy Moss didn't put up these numbers his rookie season.

Jerry Rice didn't either.

So the norm is that they would expect him to take time to develope route running etc. But he's shown to be a hard worker, and quick learner and now he's taken the job and he is not giving it back.

I think they could have projected that he would be better than Bisi Johnson on day 1.

That would have been pure speculation.

And I don't think they would have as easily as you think after their last couple first round WRs did such a fine job of panning out.
