Thought for sure about three of us were gonna get REEMED
Is this a kinder gentler Sweens?
Or is it a-coming yet?

I think he knows we've got him in a box. If you read the posts in order, it only makes sense that DL was referencing Turner.

Yes Dave. I like the way you chime in after the fact saying "oh, I knew what David meant all along". How Jeff Allen of you.

Sweens...you bastard.

Mel Hairpiece has us taking Teddy Bridgewater at 8
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, please.

Why not?  He's concensus best QB in this draft.

He's widely considered for the first overall pick.  I'd be shocked if he falls to us..but if he does, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't.

You must cringe when I talk of selling out to get him.

I'd love to know more about your feelings on this one.

I don't know waht to make of Bridgewater. Good year, but was he up against great comp, and how much did he benefit fromt he fact that he really wasn't?

Good question.

There's not too many red flags when you get beyond that though. A bit thin?

Work ethic, leadership, humility, mechanics all seem like bigger +'s than those -'s.

One sobering thing about the Zimmer hire ... We just fired a DC-typer.

I prefer to think of it as we fired a bad HC. With horrible outdated assistants.

Now to be clear, you're talking about Leslie Frazier, Bill Musgrave, etc.?

Are you surprised?  SMF was happy the Vikings passed on Aaron Rodgers to draft Troy Williamson.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Vikings have received permission to interview in limbo Browns OC Norval Turner for the same position in Minnesota.

If only. Married to a very real woman. But I suppose that doesn't preclude me from having a fake girlfriend on the side...

I'll defend SMF on this one. Of the top 10 traits you look for in a wide receiver, Williamson had nine of them. Any other profession, that makes you a top notch contributer.

Don't know if this means anything, but every media member/analyst seems to love the Zimmer hire.

Kiper and cowherd just debated the Teddy/Manziel issue

Another sure sign the apocalypse is approaching .... Mr metalHair nailed every thought of mine .....

Saban is a defensive genius
Manziels biggest games were against him
Even after having time to prepare for him
The NfL is changing ... It protects QBs at all costs
Mel, too, sees Fran II
He's inventive, creative, and a loose cannon
There's no real six foot five statue passer available
Let's go get him and have fun for a change
Let's be honest, the kids a complete crapshoot ... Could be a total bust, could be a game changing icon
I like rolling the dice once in awhile
Playing safe is for wusses who've never won it all

No he didn't.

1.  He couldn't catch the ball.
2.  He heard footsteps.  Dude was not mentally tough.

Whoa whoa whoa .... Kerry tries some typical packer-type humor ... You know .... Lying?
And now you're all buying it?

I was the one posting Troy Williamson Google-eyes glasses pics.
I happen to think Rodgers is probably the best QB in the league.
Where did anyone get me as a Williamson lover?

I'm a crazy off-base gambler, not a moron. Well at least not in most peoples opinions. (Hint hint).

I HATE the argument that small QBs can't be successful or are too big of an injury risk. Please. Brees and Wilson seem to be doing OK for themselves, and the only signficaint injury between the two was Brees' shoulder, which had nothing to do with his size.

Meanwhile, Big Ben is always laid up with a broken toe nail, despite being 6'10'' 340.

If I recall correctly, Kerry wanted a lifetime deal for Blackburn and was pissed when we only gave him four years.

Good one.
Or that time he hunger-striked until Gardy was re-upped .... That was probably his strangest support for a horrible idea
