Norv Turner is disgusted. I'm disgusted.

Can Bridgewater complete a basic pass. His balls float through the air nose up.

I think the kid's going to be just fine, but don't his throws look strange the way the football floats through the air? And the accuracy just ain't there yet, and that's concerning. If you don't have a cannon you better be accurate. Is it a mechanical thing? There's no question the kid is going to be good, because he has something you can't teach, intelligence and composure.

He definitely has thrown some floaters, but it's not a consistent flaw. I think he's prone to doing it, just like all QB's when he can't step into a throw. He needs to learn to adjust the delivery to compensate when he can step into it. Many of his throws yesterday were right on the money. I'd also like to see him use his feet more to escape the rush and by time to throw so he's not trying to launch a pass while stepping back.

Yesterday was one of those times when the kid showed he needs to take the next step. He made a couple of unforced Horrible throws. That's going to happen to a rook. The problem is that he could not dial it back in after that. That last minute drive was about as disorganized as it gets. Asiata really screwed us by fighting for the extra yard instead of getting the hell out of bounds. We had to waste a down to spike the ball, then run a short, safe play to assure the 1st. If he would have just gotten his ass out of bounds, it's 3rd and short with the clock stopped. If he doesn't know the situation, he shouldn't be out there.

Let's be clear.

Asiata shouldn't be out there AT ALL. No matter what point of the game.

He can take his 2.8 yard per carry and suck it.

Why are they dumping the ball off in the first place in that situation? Five yard dump offs get you nothing even if you get out of bounds. You take 10-15 yard sideline routes and complete them and get out of bounds or incomplete, clock stops, and take three more cracks at it. Obviously the defense is defending the sideline routes, but THEY WANT YOU TO DUMP IT OFF. Why play into their hands?

IMO, RB is about the most irrelevant position in football. Have an above average offensive line and you could throw me out there at RB. I think Asiata had a pretty good game minus his brain fart at the end, and that's just as much on Teddy for dumping it off in the first place.

I think the gloves need to go. Learn how to throw like a grownup. Those gloves are a bad habit.

He was pretty well forced to dump that one off. Just beat the rush when he released it.

I dislike that early one Norv was moving him around and later just left him back there as a target. Don't get that strategy at all.

TB still holds the ball too long, but far too often, he's moving around for his life.

The screen pass play to the RB? Mothball that one, the D is all over it. Every time.

In my fifty plus years following the Vikings, late-game execution has always been one of my biggest peeves.
That excrement yesterday was maybe the worst of all time.
QB play was horrendous
OC decisions were horrendous
HC time decisions and leadership was atrocious.

Ugly
Ugly
Ugly

It looks goofy
It gives haters reasons to hate
If you've ever worn em you know it's odd that he'd feel better wearing them TO THROW
Should I go on?
I don't give a shit either way
Just play better, please.
We had that game until he gave it away. Good numbers, but huge mistakes.
It's early yet, but these are ugly losses.

It just seemed to me you'd have a far better feel for throwing the ball without gloves, but I've been looking around and I guess there have been plenty of damn good QB's who wear them....Manning, Big Ben, Warner to name a few.

Exactly. The 2 picks? Blech. Killed momentum.

Don't get how they can look so good then turn around and just look horrid, all within 1 or 2 drives.

It's the curse of me listening to or watching the game...

They were dominating, then I turned on the radio to hear we are dominating. Next pass, INT. two plays later TD, Next offenseive drive INT....I turned off the radio.

This is the first time I would hang the loss mainly on the kid. They were two really really bad throws and he was not under heavy pressure on either one of them. But, come on the kid is having a pretty solid rookie year without a whole hell of a lot of help.

The opposite for me. Listened to first two TD's on radio. Sat down to watch the game and I wasn't sure I was watching the same game I was just listening to.

Appreciate the honesty
Agree on all
He's been pretty solid
Expectations for people to think he'd be Tom Brady already are just stupid
Some good stuff some bad stuff
He has to be careful with the cool, calm stuff. It can also be interpreted as not-giving-shit
I don't like it when he doesn't acknowledge his late-game suckage on the field. That's all.
He should be fine, if we get some help around him.

What should he do, bow his head in shame? Beat himself up? Lose his composure? Do what Manziel did on the final play of his game - throw the short swing pass, and while the play is still going on turn his back to the action and skulk away?

I want my QB to be cool on the field. He has 3 come from behind victories already, and I want him to look like he expects to get another one.

Acknowledge you mistakes in your presser after the game (like he always does), and I'm cool.

Well we lasted awhile without mentioning Manziel (for some reason)

It was a general statement about his demeanor
You see calm cool and collected
Some see a guy with a ..... "whaaaaaaaaa just happened?" Reaction to most everything that happens out there.
