The Pats just keep answering the bell.
They get everyone's best shots every week, and they are always prepared... and can play any way you want to play.
Wanna race? We will race. Wanna fight? We will fight. Wanna grind it out? lets do that too.
Why oh why do we NEVER have teams around here with that mentality? Grrrrrr.
I don't like HAVING to admire 'other" teams in order to get my sports fix. I'd just as soon admire our local boys.
But they aren't giving me any reason to, and haven't, for a long time.

This is the most "fight" I've seen in a Vikings team in a long time.

Still a long way to go,no doubt. Sad the state it's been in for so long.

Not bragging, just sayin ...
I was on the Zimmer bus first, and I still believe in him.
I like what he brings. I just don't think he will allow the same bullshirt attitudes to go on.
Baby steps, but at least steps. Our D definitely is trending upward. Theres a toughness there now that there wasn't before.

I agree. And on another not, after the way he was maligned as a rookie, I can't help noticing this year that the performance of the D Line has definitely dropped off when Floyd has gone out with his knee the last 2 weeks.

@ArifHasanNFL

Since Week 10, Xavier Rhodes ranks #1 among all corner in yards allowed per snap in coverage and #3 in cover snaps per reception

Huge tipped pass late in the game.

If only Munnerlyn and Robinson played 1/2 as well.

Robinson has improved to a degree this year. He did make a big play late when he hammered Smith short of the first down. But, damn, he still has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo far to go. They went after him Harvin all day. They way he defended Harvin on that TD was Chris Cook like. Not a doubt in my mind that Professor Xavier would have broken that play up easily.

Outside of Rhodes our CB's are like our WR's.  All of them are elevated one step up from where they should be.  #2 CB should be our #3 ect....

Good stuff guys. I'm a huge Zimmer backer too. And I also like Rhodes/Hodges/Floyd. And I still believe Joseph will be a difference maker next season with a full offseason. We have so many great young pieces. I didn't even mention Griffen or Barr, who are both superstars. Robinson has made crazy improvements, but his biggest problem is just that he's so tiny he's always going to have some issues with a lot of WR's in today's game.

Gotta solve the OLine. Have to.

Nah. At 5'10, 200, his size is fine. Most of the top CBs in the league are under 6 feet tall. Its a reactionary position where change of direction and quickness are more important than height. And little guys usually can do a better job staying with their man. Its a negative on jumpballs, but those are pretty rare.

2013 AP All-Pro CBs:
Patrick Peterson: 6'0
Joe Haden: 5'11
Alterraun Verner: 5'10

2013: Pro Bowl CBs:
Brandon Flowers: 5'10
Brent Grimes: 5'10
Tim Jennings: 5'8
Darrelle Revis: 6'0

Of the 10 Pro Bowl CBs selected last year, 7 were 6 feet or under - with 5 of them being under 6.

Well, I know that on the height. But Robinson is really 5'10? I thought he was much shorter than that.

Anyone else getting frustrated at the sheer number of blown assignment too?  We seem to let a guy go wide open at least once a game.

Oh hell yeah Jeff
That has bothered me.
Its happening wayyyyyyy too frequently.
Sheer incompetence while covering is one thing ... leaving someone uncovered completely is another. And should rarely happen.

No kidding man.  I bet that's a massive headache for Zim.  I'm hoping it's the new scheme but it's pretty late in the year.  You would think they would get it by now.

Was even more surprised when it happened to our Gophs vs the Bucky Badgers.
Changed that game.
And it really kinda changed yesterdays Vikings game too. We were really smacking them in the mouth early and the blown coverage gave them life.
We had smothered them until that play.

That's exactly why I brought it up.  It gave them life so it pissed me off.  I was still super high from when Griff planted Smith on his ass off the pick 6.

Kinda fun to see a team go into Green Bay and NOT pee themselves, at least for the ENTIRE 60 minutes.
Atnalta at least kept scratching and clawing while they went down.
There have been some pathetic efforts in there this season.

Panther's season just went into the crapper after thrashing New Orleans

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has two fractures in his lower back following a two-car accident Tuesday afternoon near the team's stadium.

"Further testing revealed that Cam Newton has two transverse process fractures in his lower back and no further internal injuries," the Panthers said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

However, this is the same injury Tony Romo had earlier this season - and he missed only 1 game. Newton will be back.

I already like Sendejo far better than Blanton. I know its early, but he's already made a couple of solid tackles that Blanton wouldn't have.

Bridgewater has some potential. I've reserved judgment until now, but I'm getting on the Bridgewater Bandwagon. This season is a lost cause, but there is some hope for the future.

Also love me some #29 on the corner.

Another nice tackle by Sendejo, another play Blanton doesn't make.
