Status: offline 		Good to see Robby is in the field again today. Any chance he will decide to run a full season? I hate to see him give up on finishing in the Top 35 in points. He's a good enough driver to always finish in the Top 35 no matter how bad his equipment is.

That being said, I'm bummed about his performance so far this year. He needed to bring home that 19th or 20th place at Daytona to get the season off to a strong start. Then Jeffy takes him out, which was unfortunate to say the least. And it's been downhill since then.

Robby's gotta 'points race' for awhile and be Top 35 after 5 races, and then consider racing the entire season again! His only chance to win one of the road races this season is to be somewhat relevant in the oval races too. I know starting and parking is not an option for a competitor like Robby....and I'm thankful he's not doing that. But more than anything I want to see him on the racetrack every single weekend.

Status: offline 		Robby crashes out on Lap 5. His whole team sucks. Can't even put a tire on correctly. Had all week to prepare, and didn't complete the simplest of tasks. Just go home, Robby. You could take your team as currently constructed to your hometown dirt track and fail to win.

I wonder if he'd have been so quick to say "Brad had it coming" and admit (like we didn't know anyway, but I digress) he intentionally wrecked him if he seriously hurt him or killed him.

On a minor (in comparison to attempted murder/manslaughter) note, he also ruined what was going to be a great old-fashioned NASCAR finish.

Instead we got the manufactured 'excitement' of a green-white-checkered finish that didn't even result in a close finish.

Carl admitted that he tried to hit him, but not that bad. If he was retaliating for his early wreck, it looked like Brad had position and Carl went down into him. I'm not a Brad Keslowski fan as he is to aggressive and cause enough accidents himself

Yeah I thought my boy Juan was going to get him a win there. Edwards screwed up a fantastic finish. I think the racing has been fantastic. Not sure if I'm a fan of the multiple overtimes. Not a big fan of wrecking racecars.

Looks like Nascar handed down a 3 race probation to Carl Edwards.  They say the big penalty was parking him during the Atlanta race.

Mind you he was 150+ laps down at the time.  And that park landed him a 39th place finish instead of 38th he would have gotten.  That's like a whole 3 or 4 points in the chase.......

You are correct Matt, it really means nothing and most of the time it is at least a 6 month probation. NASCAR really let this one go. I heard that there were fans that were hit with debris and that should be plenty for a suspension

Status: offline 		F1 season starts this weekend. So if you have nothing better to do 6:30 Sunday morning.  Race is on Speed from Baharan. USF1 went out of business a couple of weeks ago, so once again another season of no US drivers, US teams, or a US Grand Prix.

Status: offline 		Didn't see it....and didn't know he ran so well. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he finishes better than 14th again the rest of this season. Of course, I always hold out unrealistic hope that he'll win one more Sprint Cup road race in his career.

Status: offline 		The only recent news I can find about Robby Gordon and sponsorship is the following article about a dispute he's having with Vanguard.

In an interview with various media outlets, including NASCAR Scene, Jan. 7, Gordon said he understood the reasons for the Dakar Rally not wanting to go into certain areas where people had recently been killed but was upset there was no backup plan by the Dakar organizers.

But Gordon also said: “Let’s put it in perspective. Eleven people got killed over there. I’m pretty sure in L.A., we kill 11 a night on the
streets of L.A.

“I’m pretty sure there is 11 every night killed. Stabbed, shot, beat up, murdered. … I guarantee you just in L.A., and if you take L.A., Detroit, Chicago, New York, Charlotte? Eleven. It was a couple of kids in the back of a pickup truck with a couple of AK-47s shot a couple of people. I’m sorry to say that. But the reality of it is it’s not like it’s this big setup bombing.”

Once again, Robby in trouble for just speaking the truth. It's like clockwork with him. Robby isn't liked in racing because he's never going to say the politically correct thing. He's going to say the truth.

David Gilliland is in the Top 35 by doing that all season long. Thankfully Nemechek is out, as he is the worst Start & Park offender of all-time. IMO he is killing his chances of going to the NASCAR HOF by pulling this crap.
