Nice to see one of our teams playing without their hands around their necks.

Really amazing that Chattanooga wins given all the players it has lost from its opening day roster.

Cedar Rapids "missed it by this much"

Congrats to both for a great season.

26-year-old Ross Seaton got the start for the West Michigan Whitecaps. The 26-year-old had 21 starts for the Detroit Tigers’ Low-A affiliate on the season, posting an 11-8 record with a 3.88 ERA. He also made two starts for AAA Toledo. He has made AAA starts each year since 2012.

And we thought the Twins were slow in promoting guys.

Congrats. to the Lookouts. It would have been nice to have the last NewBritain season be a winner. Only had 2 in the 30-some years of the franchise, 1 with the Twins and 1 with the RedSox. The RedSox championship season in the 80s was greatly aided by a late season callup from FL State League of a young Roger Clemens. His starts were basically mismatches.

Used to whine about our affiliates losing every day.
Was told it didn't matter.
Didn't agree then, dont agree now.
Winners beat their siblings, their moms, their dads .... It's what they do.
I remember Ed going days before announcing a win, at any level we had.
I enjoy this alternative a million times better. Individuals will improve their game faster on successful teams.
It ain't rocket surgery or brain science.

Love all the tweets killing me because Buxton isn't tearing up MLB at age 21 after getting rushed. Tools are undeniable, he'll hit

MINNEAPOLIS -- Max Kepler and J.O. Berrios had terrifice seasons in the minor leagues. Both were rewarded with the system's top award, and Kepler was rewarded with a call-up to the Majors.

Kepler, who joined the Twins on Tuesday, was named the organization's minor league player of the year. J.O. Berrios, who dominated at two levels of the minors but was not called up to the Majors, was named minor league pitcher of the year.

Kepler's minor league batting numbers were impressive. The prospect from Germany hit .322/.416/.531 with 67 walks and 63 strikeouts. Berrios was so good at Double-A Chattanooga that he earned a promotion to Triple-A Rochester as a 21-year-old. The prospect from Puerto Rico combined for a 14-5 record and a 2.87 ERA across the two levels, including an impressive 175:38 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 166 1/3 innings.
