Status: offline 		It's early, but it's time to put it out there. How many more two-minute blunders will we need to see from Cousins before the coaching staff goes into self-preservation mode and starts Mond?

Status: offline 		I think the Zim/Spiel regime are already in self-preservation mode (or should be) with all the 1 year vet signings that leaves some big questions about 2022. There going for broke this year in order to get more job security so i don't see Mond seeing the field until 2023 cuz Cousins contract next season will be tough to move.

Status: offline 		I say that Mond starts on November 14 against the Chargers. The Vikings will be 3-5 or 4-4 and coming off a couple of bad losses. With the defensive ends he meets in the first half of the season he could even be hurt by then.

My second choice is after four games. If the Vikings lose to the Bengals out of the gate, it's entirely possible they start 0-4.

Status: offline 		My definition of Kellen Mond Starts for the Vikings is that he is legitimately our #1 QB. Not an injury or we wrapped up home field advantage starter. I'm the one who answered never.

Nothing it guaranteed, but he's been very durable and dependable despite horrifically bad Olines in front of him here and in Washington.

And with Zimmer's anxiety about starting rookies unless he has no choice.... There is no way Mond sees the field as long as Cousins is standing upright. A very likely scenario considering history to this point.

Glad Sweens posted the article. I believe it, especially seeing that Mond went right before Mills. That two teams that had Mond rated higher

Agreed on the mobility part. It seems the picture over the last 10 years is settling into you better be a stud with pocket presence if you don't have very good mobility or have some wheels. Not an RG III runner, but with the ability to do damage running if there are no legit passing options. Looks like Wilson, Mahomes, and Mahomes are the torch bearers. Via some stats, Mahomes runs about 1/3 less.

I think it's more a case of being a place for Cousins bitchers to congregate.

We drafted a quarterback in the third round. It's only reasonable to ask the question. It's not like our current guy is a perennial all-pro with sensational leadership qualities.
