Fun basketball for TWolves fans, I agree with DL who highlighted the second win well. At halftime I was looking and Ant, Kat, Naz and I threw in Naw who I see as our second best scorer from the bench and they had scored SO little. Yet the TEAM was playing well. McDaniels has been awesome. And of course Conley bounced back, and Rudy being Rudy.

I have a question to the rest of you who know the NBA better than I. Booker really rubbed me the wrong way last night. Some of his fouls, complaints, etc. hard for me to pinpoint. Does he have a reputation as a good guy? jerk? nothing one way or other? My view from last night was he is a prima donna who didn't have things going his way and didn't take it very well.

Best game of McDaniels career. I still don’t think he’s the smartest player in the world, as shown by his stupid shove of Booker…what exactly did he think would be a positive result of that action?

But it did seem to energize him. He was a force from that point on so what do I know?

Phoenix right now is playing like many Wolves teams from years past. A collection of names whose sum is equal to less than the total of the parts. They play with no heart. It will still be a hornets nest in Phoenix. They may take a game or even two there. But Wolves in 6 at most.

Booker has become a premadonna. He flops as much as Embiid and he hunts fouls instead of working for his shots. I also think he really misses Chris Paul as he he has no one on Phoenix capable of getting him easy looks. And his lack of athleticism really stands out against guys like McDaniels, NAW and Ant. He just can't attack any of them without a favorable whistle.

I blame his Kardashian-adjacent girlfriend...

I think Booker is a tier 1A or 2 player who fancies himself a 1, and on some nights he is. But he can’t sustain it.

I like that the Wolves are pressuring the ball as soon as it crosses half court. It occasionally results in ill advised fouls far away from the basket. But the Suns are hurting from not having a true point guard and this takes advantage of that. I didn’t see it but I heard about Barkley’s take that Phoenix has guys who should be finishing on offense not initiating it. This one rare case where I think he makes a good point…which I was thinking before he said it.

I think you have to look at it in a bigger context. McDaniels is at his best when he plays angry and with an edge. He had just suckered Booker into a retaliation foul, gave him a little shove and walked away. He let Booker know that he knew, that he was in Booker's head. Booker got progressively more frustrated from that moment.

I think DL nailed it about Booker. Not athletic enough to create his own shot against good defenders does not=superstar. It looked like he hurt his team more than he helped them last night.

The Suns with no elite PG hurts Booker and Beal.

Meh. They have no size or rebounding. I don't see them beating Denver or us. They need to add a quality big next to Chet.

The Pelicans are a disaster without Zion. And Ingram and McCollum continue to come up small in the Playoffs.

That's great. I wish people who say defense is just about effort would watch more breakdowns like this. Defense takes as much game planning and team effort as offense.

Also Booker and Beal have PG responsibilities....wear them out handling the ball and distributing so it affects their scoring late in the game.
