Some bad luck for sure, but if they had not hit on Jefferson, what would we have to show for the last 4 years of high picks? Brian O'Neill. That's it. If you draft a Center in the first round, he can't be a bust. Bradbury isn't just a bust, he might be the worst Center in the league. Every NFL team faced the same obstacles as the Vikings and very few gave their starters any meaningful work in the preseason. Yet plenty of teams came out and hit the ground running yesterday. Browns, Chiefs, Cards, Rams, Steelers, Saints, Seahawks, etc. all looked like legitimate NFL teams. The Vikings looked like a train-wreck. Seems like that's got to be laid at the feet of the coaching staff. There's always 16 train wrecks in the NFL after week 1. I mean shit, some teams lose like 38-3.

Out of our 11 2021 draft picks only 3 saw the field yesterday. ISM had 4 snaps on offense and 5 snaps on special teams. Chazz Surrat had 13 snaps on special teams. Wyatt Davis had 4 snaps on special teams. We should really just trade all our draft picks ahead of the draft every year.

Cousins looked good in the last two minutes of the game yesterday. It's a shame that for the previous 58 minutes he was so indecisive that he couldn't complete a pass to a receiver unless the receiver was wide open. The constant check downs were great a great way to pad his stats, though.

He had 5 returned for a 10.6 yard average and a long of 15. 50.3 Avg, 43.6 Net Avg. Those numbers would've been 2nd and 5th best respectively for last season.

He'll be making $45 million regardless.... He is perfect for the system and team-building philosophy of this organization, the perfect lovechild QB of Zimmer and Spielman. I've felt for a long time that you can't really blame him for being who he is. If he is your QB, you have to protect him with a croc-filled moat, your defense has to be stellar, your running game has to produce without fail, and your receivers have to separate readily, because he isn't changing. Zim and Spielman tethered their fortunes to him, and then failed (so far) to develop a team to support him. Their fault, not his. Either surround him with what it takes for him to succeed in your system, change your system, or don't bid against yourself to extend him.

I thought Breeland started off playing pretty good aggressive coverage. Holy cow did the wheels fall off quickly... Very disheartening... We need Dantzler to figure it out or Breeland to rebound big time.

Didn't hear his name which is good for a cb. But I guess Burrow was too busy picking on Breeland. As far as Bradbury taking the next step....more like he tripped and fell coming out of the blocks.

Football season is here. Vikings are in 1st place in the division. We didn't lose by 35. Life is good. We practiced our false starts and holding, so, hopefully we have that perfected and are done with that during games.[:D] Not sure how you can have 2 illegal formations in 1 game. It might be helpful if they show players where to line up. bohumm mentioned crocs. I don't know if wearing them would be better than cleats, but, I guess anything is worth a try.[:D]
