Brad, what does your expertise say about the QBs that might be available, do you like any of them, and if so, why ?

We had the answer and you folks ran him out of town. Why would anyone listen to your opinions now?

What a stupid take. talkvikes didn't run Darnold out out of town. KAM didn't resign him.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/9/2026 1:48:38 PM)

After sitting out all last year, a personal decision, not one brought on by a distaste for Viking football., I feel like I've fallen out of love with the Vikings and I don't even know where to go from here.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/9/2026 4:00:01 PM)

Todd, the Vikings are going to win the Super Bowl, and you're going to miss out on all the fun.

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/9/2026 6:19:58 PM)

Eric Wilson a 3 year deal 12.5ml guaranteed?

Who were we bidding against?

The guy tore it up last year. I don't think that contract was out of line.

Approaching 6 decades and counting. 0/59. At this point it's more likely the go 0/100.

It’s so dam hard. This franchise just can’t get out of its own way, year after year.

This is not the Sam Darnold message board. I'm sure one could find one if one were interested.

The questions is: would the Vikings have won the SB with him at QB this year?

The answer: given the MIN roster - even without taking into consideration the negative salary cap impact that he would have had on that roster - any reasonable person would have to say that the chances of that are incredibly small.

The answer is, none of us have any idea. That was never the question.

So now that IS the question?!

Move the **** on....this Darnold shit is so tired.

Also notice how after a bit of an absence he pops in with that crap on the very morning free agency effectively started?

No doubt he'll make an appearance on the day of the draft, not to talk about the Vikings, but to say "14-3"... the name of his cuddly teddy bear that brings him so much warmth and glee.

Best put together team in the NFL last year but they lost 3 starters in FA already: RB Kenneth Walker, DE Mafe, and Safety Coby Bryant already gone.

They could have kept Geno and won it.

Crosby to Ravens trade is off. Grenard cheaper?

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/11/2026 9:39:02 AM)

Balt needs to be hit hard by the shield for this blatant dirty move.

This is from Adam Schefter:

Maxx Crosby is eight weeks from having meniscus surgery and got off crutches only last week. He is on schedule, and they are working to get him ready for the regular-season opener.

Here is what Crosby’s knee surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, said to ESPN this morning:

“Maxx Crosby is doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program….he feels very well and is already much improved compared to before surgery.

“We truly respect the work of the Ravens staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process. This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear.

“At this point, Max is doing
an excellent job attacking his rehab and his knee is responding very well. We look forward to Maxx returning to his elite level of performance this season as planned and for several more to come.”

I guess after reading how damaged his knee was----I wouldn't give up 2 first for him either if I could get Trey.

fmaltes -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/11/2026 10:00:50 AM)

I thought this was interesting from Yahoo Sports

"So, as it stands right now, the Vikings have nine selections in the 2026 NFL draft, including four in the top 100. If you’re scoring at home, that’s as many top 100 picks as they’ve had in the last three NFL Drafts combined."

Shame that Kwesi is gone, for the Raiders … they could have milked us for an extra 1st rounder because of the checkup.

I hadn't heard about that surgery. I know he was set to return around week 15 and the Raiders shut him down to not risk anything serious. This must have been lingering and he decided to address it. Guess Balt is off the hook.

This is one of those deals where

I don’t even really want Murray

but I’ll be pissed if we dont sign him.

given the alternatives/their salary … much less trading for somebody.

Might even hang out with Todd in the swirling pit of doom.

Bottom line is that Murray is a 7 year starter, would be an upgrade over what McCarthy gave us last year and would cost league minimum. Would I do it? Sure. Would I be thrilled about it? No.

Pretty much sums up how I feel with the added bonus of it not being Rogers or Couins. If we ended up with either, I'd jump on Todd's bandwagon of doom.

Well this is interesting.

Josh McCown interviewed for the NY Giants' OC job this offseason. After it went to Matt Nagy, they offered McCown their pass game coordinator position instead... and the Vikings blocked him from leaving.

"I don't know if we ever mentioned this, Josh McCown... he did an interview with the Giants for the offensive coordinator job. [He] had an offer to go there, as the passing game coordinator, as well, and was blocked. Minnesota wanted to keep Josh McCown in the fold there..." --

Yeah it's like heck just get it over with and sign Murray for $1.3 million.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/11/2026 1:28:35 PM)

Murray at his current contract = [X(]

Murray at 1.5 = [:-]

Not a slam dunk but it's intriguing enough that you try it out for a year.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/11/2026 1:33:15 PM)
