For anyone who thought this was just a JJM problem and Brosmer would be the salve, need to see more? Hot garbage. That pick 6 was straight out of a HS game.

This is a KOC and KAM problem. Running an offense like you have a 10 year vet out there. KOC is not a developer of young QB. He can put a little polish on an old turd with some weapons around him (KFC, Darnold, etc.) And KAM's draft are shite.

This offense and team has no identity. That goes straight to the top.

And sorry, but Darnold looked the same to me. Sacked how many times? Two fumbles? One lost? Like 150 yards passing? For $100M+? No thanks.

And if the skill guys like JJ wanna pout and cry, catch the ****ing ball.

On one bright note, Turner seems to be getting better each week, IMHO.

9-3

Not sure what you guys have against winning. It's a puzzling phenomenon with you people.

Not every game can be perfect. Your expectations are unreasonable. The guy still has the #7 passer rating and #9 QB rating in the league. His team is 9-3. He's 23-6 (.793) during the regular season since the beginning of last season.

For $33-million, that's a huge bargain.

Defense is unbelievable.

The book is out on Darnold. A good defense can pressure him and give him happy feet. Running game and defense could carry SEA to one playoff victory.

KAM as a GM is like Skule starting at LT for 5 years straight.

We can't let him do this next draft.

You gotta protect him. Same with Jared Goff, who is averaging $53-million over four years. I don't see the Lions trying to part with Goff.

Like I said, your guys' expectations are unreasonable.

We obviously can't protect any of the QBs we have playing this year. Sam would be 6-6 with this outfit we have. Probably 8-10 lost fumbles.

That's BS. He generated most of the sacks yesterday by holding the ball forever.

Seattle has done everything possible to protect him.

He was sacked only 11 times in 11 games before yesterday.

He was sacked twice total the previous 4 games - including 0 times when he shit the bed against the Rams.

Sam is a front runner. Looks all world when everything is clicking. But he reverts to the old "seeing ghosts" version of himself when things aren't perfect.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 12:07:12 PM)

Seattle has been a great situation for Sam, but I am sure Brad will agree, Sam likely wouldn't have had the Vikings any better than 6-6 this year, making his price not worthwhile.

stfrank -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 12:07:39 PM)

Alec Lewis summed up the Vikings in one sentence.
On Sunday, a young, explosive and disciplined Seattle Seahawks team blanked a Vikings squad that featured none of those characteristics.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 12:16:49 PM)

As much as I like Marty's idea from 2 years ago, making Brian Flores the HC (there is Bernardo Harris and David Boston), there are questions about veteran QBs beating his bend but eventually break defense, and he doesn't handle people in the great way a guy like KOC can do it, just ask Tua.

What about the Browns DC, Jim Schwartz ? Or is he too old school, too reliant on Myles Garrett, and probably wouldn't elevate the offense to a high level ??

What about bringing back Mike Tomlin for HC ? The same red flags as Schwartz?

Any great, disciplined, OCs going to be available for HC next year ?

He has 23 wins in last year and a half.

I'm guessing 5 or less of the teams he beat had a winning record when he played them.

He's a good guy. Humble guy. But he is probably a top 12-15 guy when it is all said and done.

You don't know that. That is pure speculation.

All I know is that he was the quarterback of the team last season, a team with a worse offensive line, and he went 14-3.

Did he?

Our Big FA Center signing has missed most of the year with more concussions. His main replacement had never played Center at any level.

Our Big FA Guard is the 38th ranked Guard in the NFL.

We have a MASH unit at the other Guard position.

Darrisow has not been healthy all year. And has missed over 1/3 of the season.

O'Neill has missed over 1/4 of the season.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 2:03:01 PM)

Exactly, like I said on the GDT. Until they finally get the OLine right it won't matter who's behind center.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 2:39:42 PM)

Anyone who has watched the Vikings this year, knows Sam Darnold wouldn't have gotten them better than 6-6, it's a tougher schedule this year, and teams are playing the KOC offense like it was with Darnold the last 2 games last season.

stfrank -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 2:43:50 PM)

And while we are speaking of lines, how about adding some young talent to the D-line too!
I think we all knew going old in the trenches wasn't going to work but we had no choice but to hope for the best....which we didn't get.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 2:46:57 PM)

You like your own idea and speak in 3rd person?

Yes, I was being silly, and it seems to sound less like bragging then saying someone is now suggesting MY idea, the idea that was rejected by most people on this board, the idea of making Flore's the HC, which I am now backing off a tad on, as there are some mentionable red flags:

1) His defenses bend, but seem to eventually break
2) Veteran QBs seem to figure out the way to attack it
3) There might be some character questions with him, if you ask Tua
4) How quickly can you find an up and coming OC, one that doesn't only design plays, but is also good at play calling during a game

We've started to.

Turner has really come on of late.

And then the late round/undrafted guys have been showing.

Jalen Redmond has been a highlight this year and he's played 73% of the defensive snaps.

Levi Drake Rodriguez has looked good at times as well (45%).

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins has shown some flashes too (20%).

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/1/2025 4:50:29 PM)

What we need for the defense is big nasty NT. We have the youts in Redmond, LDG, and TIG.

That has been one of the few bright spots, the emergence of Redmond who has been an absolute force. Levi Drake Rod too, maybe that 2024 draft is looking decent if JJ could ever emerge.

with today's nfl it's almost impossible for a defense to completely shut down and offense...the offense has all the advantages, and the new kickoff rules are a joke...every possession seems to start with excellent field position...imo; that's what has created the extreme parity in the nfl...the last team with the ball and 30 seconds seems to be able to consistently drive for a winning field goal....
