Not every game can be perfect. Your expectations are unreasonable. The guy still has the #7 passer rating and #9 QB rating in the league. His team is 9-3. He's 23-6 (.793) during the regular season since the beginning of last season.

For $33-million, that's a huge bargain.

Defense is unbelievable.

The book is out on Darnold. A good defense can pressure him and give him happy feet. Running game and defense could carry SEA to one playoff victory.

You gotta protect him. Same with Jared Goff, who is averaging $53-million over four years. I don't see the Lions trying to part with Goff.

There are others....Van Ginkel, Jones, and Cashman. Void money was cleaned up and that is why their contracts were so high. Jones is making $11 million a year because 4-5 was void money so he is only making about 5-6.

We obviously can't protect any of the QBs we have playing this year. Sam would be 6-6 with this outfit we have. Probably 8-10 lost fumbles.

Our Big FA Center signing has missed most of the year with more concussions. His main replacement had never played Center at any level.

Our Big FA Guard is the 38th ranked Guard in the NFL.

We have a MASH unit at the other Guard position.

Darrisow has not been healthy all year. And has missed over 1/3 of the season.

O'Neill has missed over 1/4 of the season.

You were pounding the table for a QBOTF like Mahomes and Brady until we signed your USC QB. They had to reset the cap and Darnold has a portion of his last years contract on this years cap.

Darnold isn't something we missed on....we already had him and preferred Jones or giving JJ snaps.

Again how many snaps/throws did Darnold have until he was a serviceable NFL QB?

The whole key is still get JJ reps.....nothing is set in stone yet. The same philosphy is being used for Dart and Nix who also aren't rated very high.

Man, you are a glutton for punishment. JJ McCarthy is an awful player, plain and simple.

Comparing Darnold's start to McCarthy's is crazy talk. Darnold had absolutely nothing around him in New York. His receivers were Jamison Crowder, Braxton Berrios and Breshad Perriman. His running back was a broken down Frank Gore, who was in his 16th season in the NFL. His tight end was Chris Herndon.

You really want to make that comparison? He may have had the least talented team in league history around him.
