You're still a fool David, to make such a guarantee.

We have some quality posters here, much better and more knowledgeable than many posters on other sites, or talking with people in person. Several of these posters have been right about many different things for several years now.

It's true that it's become obvious through the Vikings losses the Vikings should have been running the ball more, doing more dink and dunk, and doing more quick hitters, so you're probably right that KOC finally might have picked up on the obvious. But this was not so obvious to other people on other forums earlier in the season, and with other fans I talked with earlier in the season, and even some posters on here weren't understanding this.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/9/2025 5:39:05 AM)

And even if David's limited brain that can't fathom the idea of someone in the Vikings facility picking up some tidbits from a forum like this, is correct, and it was stubbornly done entirely from within, the good news is that it appears for at least one week, against a lower rated defense, KOC learned the effectiveness of staying with the run, and his QB getting the ball out quickly, which led to victory.

Against better defenses, I would still like to see more dink and dunk, more slants, well timed outlets for check downs, and or a few times a game, where the QB quickly and decisively takes off running, to keep the defenses honest.

NFL coaches speak their own language when dealing with football. If they ever perused this site to get ideas (which they don't) they'd laugh at the relative Neanderthal language on the Game Day thread: "Run more!", "More slants dammit!", KOC is a bum, fire his ass!", "The D is tired again", "Burn it all down!"

Same for the upgraded Monday morning Cro-Magnonese posts: "Fire the OL coach", "JJM is the future/is historically bad", "Simplify the playbook", "Flores D is fine/can't cover/gets trucked/is SB caliber"

Then there are the modern man circa 5,000 B.C. insights where an outcome is deduced based on two things: "Kwesi is to blame because he can't draft nor hit on free agents"

I was impressed after Sam shit the bed in the first half that he remembered he was facing the Falcons and had a strong 2nd half.

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/9/2025 12:46:45 PM)

The Real Forno Show:

Key discussion points from the episode:

• Accuracy and decision-making markedly better: quickest time to throw this season, zero turnover-worthy plays

• Mechanics remain inconsistent: wide base, leg whip, and lower-body control still rob power and consistency

• Positive growth shown in pocket patience, progressing through reads, and exploiting tight ends (all 3 TDs to Josh Oliver and T.J. Hockenson)

• Missed opportunities: failing to look off linebackers on dig routes and bailing on a wide-open deep shot to Justin Jefferson

• Play-calling context: Kevin O’Connell leaned on patience in the run game and short-to-intermediate throws to keep McCarthy comfortable

No David, I really am grand, and just like Bill, you're a limited thinker.

And just like with the awful secondary coach Richard Solomon, which I posted about for several years before someone on the Tribune posted an article which put pressure on his getting replaced, Chris Kuper is a bad OL coach that should be replaced now, but probably won't be replaced for another 2 or 3 years.

Sometimes the fans know better than all the organizations that pass over guys like Randy Moss, Sheduer Sanders, etc .... When the Vikings had 2 1st round picks in 2013, many posters here really liked DeAndre Hopkins, he might have been a better pick at #25, and would have been quite a haul if they had drafted him and still gotten Xavier Rhodes at #29, instead of drafting Rhodes and Patterson.

There are several posters here (not me, I don't follow college football at all), that would likely do a better job at drafting than Kwesi and the current crew.

Thanks man!

Since the Strib days it's always been a dream of mine to be mentioned with Levine as a thinker!

I don't agree with your last sentence at all......
Remember who is in there scouting with KWESI......Flores, KOC, etc. Just look at what we have picked up UDFA.....

Rest assured the Airing of Grievances with the Vikings coaches during Festivus will be mammoth!

My opener to KOC: You and your coaches have been long-time lurkers on talkvikes. We know because some guy on the site says so... every f****** year. So why in hell did you wait until game 13 of year 4 of your reign to implement our latest ideas? After all, we have MORE than three Procogs, and all of them are way better than those on Minority Report.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/9/2025 4:37:15 PM)

Bill, we all know the concept of someone in the Vikings facility picking up some tidbits from a forum like this, is beyond your limited brain capacity, no need for you to repeat it.

It is a mystery as to why KOC didn't implement more running and quicker pass concepts until week 13, especially after adding Mason, but the regular season success of the last few previous seasons might have had something to do with it [;)].

UDFA actually is part of the draft in essence. Like I said Flores has helped on the defense side for drafting and stockpiling. Offense needs help.

Uh, no we all don't. Name anyone here besides yourself.

And let's not move the goalposts. You led off with "KOC either read our comments here ... or ... ", so don't backtrack to "someone in the facility".

I wouldn't be shocked if most Pro Teams have someone monitoring the bigger, more active message boards. But its much more likely to be marketing, PR or even on-air commentators/hostw than it is players or (especially) coaches. Jim Petersen, for example, is a known reader of the Canis Hoopus message board and will give shout-outs to long-time posters.

But its absolutely not to get ideas about coaching or player movement. Its just to get the temperature of the fanbase and how they feel overall about the team.

And its not going to be a tiny private board like this with less traffic in a month than other places get in an afternoon.

David realizes it Bill, he just limits his belief to it only being for teams to get a pulse on the fan base, surely they would ignore any piece of helpful information [&:]. And realizing it is beyond your brain capacity, Bill, is evident to anyone that reads posts here, you show it in your posts, and your doubling down and reposting your foolishness.

He is smart to limit it to the fan base. Unlike you, who thinks KOC reads posts on this site and adjusts his plans based on the posts.

Thanks for the continued insults.

Bottomline, you go on believing KOC and coaches read posts here, like you have said for years even before KOC. I'll go on believing it's whacked to think KOC reads posts here, let alone ACTS on said posts.

Does that encapsulate it? Fair enough?

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/9/2025 5:53:17 PM)

So Marty you actually added +3 to your post as if to insinuate 3 other posters agreed with you?
