So Marty you actually added +3 to your post as if to insinuate 3 other posters agreed with you?

It just means he has the combined ego of 4 people.

Bill

I was talking about anyone in the Vikings facility picking up tidbits from a site like this Bill, I mistakenly thought it would be helpful for your little brain to shorten it to KC (who can receive information through conversations, and thoughts and ideas traveling around, through osmosis, other media etc), not realizing you would take that ball and run with it.

It is very much in Bill's character to misrepresent what someone has said, to misconstrue it, to take a snippet, run with it, then expand on some imagined point, add some sarcasm, act victorious, and try to give the appearance that he speaks for the entire board, that he is some sort of voice of reason, that no other idea outside of his little brain has merit.

By all means continue Bill. I am sure the majority of the board prefers reading you and I going back and forth with personal attacks, hearing you repeat your thoughts, my defending points within my points, etc .... over any other sort of Vikings discussion.

I am not sure what it really means Dave.

Bottomline, you go on believing KOC and coaches read posts here, like you have said for years even before KOC. I'll go on believing it's whacked to think KOC reads posts here, let alone ACTS on said posts.

I'm sure neither KOC or anyone on our coaching staff ever considered more runs and shorter passes until they came to this tiny little board and saw Don Quixote post about it...

KOC either read our comments here about the importance of establishing a run game, short, quick, passes,
or he got reality pounded into him by seeing what happened in the past 10 or 12 Vikings' games.

Did Washington pack it in, or did the Vikings take away their will ? They were getting healthy, just took Denver to OT last week (losing by a point), got Daniels and McLaurin back this week.

Glad I didn't start either Commander RBs this week, they sorta got BFLOed.

Your first post on the issue. KOC. Not "someone in the facility". Classic CYA.

Then you insulted someone who said guaranteed KOC does not read posts on this site.

You literally just rephrased your own post from 5 minutes prior complaining about repetitiveness.

No, you didn't "shorten it to KC". Rather, you singled out KOC as the reader of this site.

And KOC acted on posts here through, wait for it, osmosis!

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/9/2025 6:21:48 PM)

Because it continues to fit, David you can join in and be Bill's lapdog, you two can have a great conversation tonight, I have plans and will be gone for awhile, so I will repost this as it still applies to both of your's gibberish:

Refined bottomline just for Marty:

Marty, you go on believing and posting that KOC reads posts here like what you have said for years about Vikings coaches prior to KOC, insulting anyone who disagrees. I'll go on believing it's whacked to believe KOC reads posts here, let alone ACTS on said posts, and such beliefs are an insult to the intellect of the board.

I would think that the only reason KOC would ever read anything on here is for comic relief.

Lars -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/10/2025 1:02:56 PM)

Many years ago, after complaining about his performance in a couple games (I think on the old Strib site), I got a message from Corbin Lacina with his views on my comments, lol. We actually traded a few emails and he was a good dude.

Corbin James Lacina (born November 2, 1970) is an American former professional football offensive lineman and Midwest Emmy award-winning sports broadcaster who played eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mainly for the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings. He was selected 167th overall by the Bills in the sixth round of the 1993 NFL draft. He played high school football for Cretin-Derham Hall High School and college football at Augustana College. During his NFL career he was given the nickname Karate Corbin, because he is an 8th degree black belt.

Chris Olson -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/13/2025 10:11:50 AM)

So...

What do y'all make of the Joe Burrow chatter?

kind of hysterical, IMO

trade everything away for Burrow...only caveat is his injury history

but go ahead and trade the 3 firsts (plus 2 seconds someone had said) and likely a player like Turner...

Kwesi can't draft anyway...do it, if it is even an option

BisonFan -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/13/2025 11:30:21 AM)

All of the parts of the trade to get Burrow would be just like the Herschel Walker trade and set the team back even more. I really like Burrow, but he seems to get hurt at least every other year. I will pass.

I'd do three 1sts, JJM and Addison. No to Turner.

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/13/2025 12:33:09 PM)

I think Burrow is the best QB in the league. I don't think I'd read too much in to the injuries due to the shite oline Cinn has in front of him.

If the Wilf's are sticking with Kwesi and O'Connell this move makes sense.

Chris Olson -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/13/2025 5:29:43 PM)

Man, the more I think about it, you do it for whatever they want in picks

JJM, Turner and Addison are all fair game imo

maybe we can convince them to take Hock too?

this is nothing like the Walker deal...

we would not be building around a RB, but if you have an elite QB you can win in this league

I can't believe this could even be on the table...I'm sure it's not

TJSweens -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/13/2025 5:50:10 PM)

Cincinnati would have be willing to absorb a $56M dead cap hit.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (12/14/2025 7:52:08 AM)

A trade for Burrow is not like Walker at all. The Walker trade was made because the 1989 team was LOADED and a great RB was considered the final piece needed to get to the SB.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/min/1989_roster.htm#all_starters

What a roster. Although they didn't have as much success, the 1989 and 1998 teams were probably more talented than 70's teams because of age. Tarkenton said the 1975 team was the most talented he was around. At that point he was 35. Tingelhoff 35. Gilliam 30. Eller 33. Marshall 38 (!). Winston 35. Hildenberg 33. Krause 33. It's no wonder they were trucked in the last three SBs.

Fast forward, it's all about the QB and Burrow is one of the best. 3 first rounders is nothing. Teams do that just to move up in the draft. You use a 1st to merely draft a hopeful QB, so you're down to two extra picks and whatever else. Doubt Cincy trades Burrow unless he eventually wants out.
