Trekgeekscott -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/5/2024 1:19:31 PM)

OK. I've done my homework. Really studied and trying to make a very informed analysis. And if you believe that... I have some oceanfront property in Kansas to sell you. My predictions for 2024. We'll start with the NFC. NFC East. Cowboys will have a good regular season but blow it early in the playoffs because Dak Prescott is like Kirk Cousins, eye popping numbers, folds in the bigger games. Eagles Should be the team to beat in their own division. Defense should be good. Offense will go as far as Hurts takes them. Any 3rd or 4th and less than a yard they get a first down. They will win the division Giants. LOL two years ago was a fluke. they let their best offensive weapon go and are now putting all their eggs in one basket named Daniel Jones. I can't emphasize just how incredibly stupid that is. Redski....football te...Commanders - Starting a rookie QB is usually not tied to early success. They want to win but understand they are in transition. They stunk bad enough last year that they got the 2nd pick in this year's draft. So they will be better, a little, even finish above the Giants, but no real chance at playoffs. NFC South God this division is awful. Falcons - Will come to love/hate Cousins very quickly especially when a late drive could win a game and he either throws short of the sticks on a needtogetthefirstdown play or just doesn't understand he has to spike the ball to stop the clock. But they do have some good skill players. So it could be fun. Panthers - suckbomb will continue to suck. But Their young QB will take a step forward Saints - Since Drew Brees retired, they've been irrelevent. I see no reason that changes now. Buccaneers - It's their division to lose. and It's bad enough that they could find a way to lose it. NFC West Seahawks - new head coach. new schemes, still no offensive line. Geno Smith miracle luster has worn off. Not going anywhere. Rams - Stafford is getting old and fragile. No Donald on defense. Going nowhere fast. Cardinals - The very definition of suck. 49ers - possibly the best team in the NFC. Strong D and a LOT of playmakers on offense. good coaching staff. Really only injury can derail a deep playoff run here. NFC North Packers - giving up Aaron Jones was a mistake. He hid some weaknesses on Love's part. The magic of LeFleur is wearing off. Lions - team to beat in this division. But it is the Lions. they should roll. but it is the Lions. Goff....can he do it again? Or will he revert to the Superbowl starting QB that the Rams couldn't wait to get rid of? Team should be really good. Good O, D, and coach. But, again, It's the Lions Bears - Not going to be the laughingstock they've been over the past several seasons. Caleb looks legit. The new GM has built a good D and added a bunch of playmakers on offense to take the pressure off Williams to carry the team. Can Eberflus just not screw it up? Vikings - Losing Cousins is probably a step down...counting on Darnold finally realizing his potential is risky to say the least. A LOT of new faces on D. DBs are questionable. Losing Hunter could hurt. but I just get the vibe that if Darnold stays healthy, and Greenard, Van Ginkel and Turner can pick up the slack lost when Hunter left....that we will be a lot better than most pundits are predicting. So - Division winners Lions, Eagles, 49ers and Bucs Wild Cards. Cowboys, Packers, and VIKINGS 49ers get the 1 seed First week playoffs Vikings beat Eagles Lions beat Packers Bucs beat Cowboys (McCarthy fired immediately after the game) Division round Vikings stun 49ers in SF Lions beat Bucs Championship game Vikes put the lions in their place Superbowl baby!!!
