Scioscia and GM battling over analytics.
This could get interesting.

Scioscia is an idiot and has always been one. IMO He's "Gardy West".

He's Art Howe.
DiPoto is Brad Pitt.
Owners going to have to choose soon.

Hopefully he chooses Art Howe. Being that it's the Biebers and all... [:D]

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (6/30/2015 4:53:48 PM)

Joey Gallo sent to Triple-A after he struck out in 43.9% of plate appearances; struck out 43X, 9 more than any other player since his debut

djskillz -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (6/30/2015 4:55:18 PM)

A bit like Adam Bret Walker in that regard.

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 9:39:57 AM)

Scioscia wins the battle.

Dipoto is out as GM of the Angels.

djskillz -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 9:48:48 AM)

Dipoto just went to to the top of my list in terms of replacing TR. [:D]

Angels are dumb.

Wow.

Maybe it goes further than this battle. Maybe it goes to some contracts that aren't working out, the Hamilton situation and more.

Fascinating to see how dominating Chris Sale has been .... Against everyone but us.
We have stopped him from being one of baseballs biggest stories.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 10:33:57 AM)

Every year about this time we hear that Bobby Bonilla is still being paid.
That's equal parts hilarious, ridiculous, and sad.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 10:39:32 AM)

The Mets are paying him $1.2 mil, per year, for THE NEXT 20 YEARS
He hasnt played for them FOR 15 YEARS

It's one of the strangest and most unbelievable facts of my lifetime.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 10:47:08 AM)

The fact that the $5.9 mil they planned to use to pay it off, was lost in a Ponzi scheme, only adds to the craziness of it all.

That was some sweet negotiating by Bonilla's agent(s).

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 10:52:55 AM)

Greatest agent work, ever. No contest.

JT2 -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 8:41:43 PM)

We'll see if Carrasco gets the no hitter. Facing the bottom of the Rays lineup. Looks good.

JT2 -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 8:51:10 PM)

Too bad. 2 out, ninth inning no hitter busted.

djskillz -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/1/2015 10:33:12 PM)

What a couple of studs they have in Cleveland. And a couple more potential ones coming in Bauer and Aiken. Uggh.

Or as that Jim Rich guy over at Fox9 called him, at least ten times ... CARRACKSO
Even tho his name showed up in the highlights oh, probably twenty times in the minute clip .... [:D]

A perfect example of why I watch nothing but live sports on television.

I feel somewhat clean.

When my opinions prove to be wrong, it's all on me.

Having said that, I like Rosario, he's going to be really good. Vargas was Balboni in a former life. Hunter is a sabermetric nightmare, and i would love to have him on my basketball team, or any team. Dozier was my hope as Jeter's replacement. He's slick, solid and hits it hard.
Perkins is absolutely fantastic. Don't care one bit about things he may have said. I have no clue what's wrong with Joe.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (7/2/2015 6:00:19 AM)

Del DFA'd by the O's; they'll try to find a trade partner. Apparently that gives Parm a little more PT, with his 9 xbh in 15 games.

Interesting to see our cast-offs raking it pretty well around the league.
Watched Parm the other night, he was driving the hell out of the ball almost every at-bat.
Cowbell continues to impress, as does Val.

Cowbell would have helped at DH this year, no doubt.

Parm apparently need a new beginning, Val may have finally "got it".

The Indians took perfectos into the 6th inning in three consecutive games vs. the Rays.
