It's hard to argue with this list?

$107 of that guaranteed!
Think about this. Wentz has had one complete season in his career and it was a losing season.
He followed that up with an extremely successful season cut short by injury.
His most recent season he missed 5 or was it 6 games and had a losing season, with one of those losses being to Captain Kirk. Two losing seasons with one great and this is worth the highest guaranteed contract in NFL history? This last losing season he made the playoffs only because Foles had a winning record. He had this losing record with the same team that Foles won the Super Bowl with. I'm a fan of Wentz and believe he will do well, but still wow.

It doesn't matter .....teams are still making a ton and QBs are the face.

Still a QB with two losing seasons out of three. And he did that with a very good supporting cast. I get that he has great potential. However, I wouldn't be shocked if he has an injury plagued career.

we go jordan taylor because he's 6'-5"
we go jeff badet because he's the fastest player in the league
we go chad beebe because he's got moves unlike anyone
and then we go mitchell and/or johnson because we're going to coach them up

Sean Borman@SeanBoarMan
Adam Thielen on KFAN’s #92Noon said #Vikings WR Chad Beebe “moves unlike anyone I’ve ever seen.”

Lot of good Vikings talk today on KFAN. They were saying the Vikings became too predictable on offense. Pass/ run option wasn't used enough and when it was the defenses didn't fear the run.

THAT'S what stood out to me. It was in response to the question "Which Vikings WR stands out to you you in the competition for WR #3?". He started with the generic company line "the rookies are doing blah blah, the 2-3 year vets are doing blah blah" before finishing off with the Beebe quote.

I think we go Mitchell and Johnson over Badet. Unless Badet has bulked up and can show that he can take a hit and not be completely thrown off his routes.

Taylor may be like a horse that takes the early lead because of his familiarity with the system. The rookies still could be late closers.

If we keep 4 TEs does that mean we are keeping 5 WRs? I see that Treadwell's name was nowhere to be seen among the conversation. Also Rookie camp Darling Darion Davis's name is missing. Right now, my best guess of those is Taylor, Beebe, and Mitchell.

I agree. There is a long time to go until the final cut. Both Mitchell and Johnson may pass everybody by then.

It may be more positive news on Epps than negative news on Kerse. It may also just be that they experiment more early and try to encourage the young players.

The #Vikings are looking into extending the contract of DE Stephen Weatherly, entering the final year of his deal. And he hopes it will happen

Weatherly has been a pleasant surprise.

I always thought Bowars would be the one that emerged between these 2

When a team doesn't make the playoffs it's a team effort.

I think Harris is a higher priority. But would be good to get Weatherly under a team friendly contract.

I believe Kearse is good on special teams. I think that he adds value with his position flexibility.

Like to keep all 3 of Kearse, Harris, & Weatherly.

It will be important next off season to shed some salary so we can keep the young bucks.

Rudy, will be off the books barring any restructure.

Following guys might have to go:

Griffin 13.9ml
Joseph 13.3ml
Reiff 13.2ml

I get the feeling that the players are motivated this off-season because they know the Vikings have a chance to be really special and they want to be part of it.

I think he'll be traded or a post June cut to minimize the dead cap (Next year). Excited to see Samia develop. Think Bradbury, ONeil, Samia, Elf (in that order) have a chance to become a very good young core for the line. Something we haven't been able to say in a decade.
