Conklin looks good here.

He beats Ben Gedeon. Not a high hurdle. Like Ade Aruna beating Storm Norton.

In the picture dictionary the Pictionary there is a picture of Storm Norton for the word Turnstile.

yeah, but it was a pretty good catch nonetheless...i read somewhere that cole hikutini was having a pretty good camp, too... morgan is in the final year of his deal and i don't think we can afford to extend him...he's a hell of a blocker, but not known for his receiving skills - can anyone imagine us trading him or letting him go?....

we'll keep four te's this season....

Morgan hasn't stayed healthy. He seemed to make a noticeable difference last year (blocking, not receiving) when he was on the field. I think it would be difficult to cut him.

I think that Alex Mattison fits the mold of what Zim wants. And Kubiak in regard to his run scheme.

Collins got hurt in practice. I don't know how seriously. He missed last year, so he seems to be snake bitten.

Collins was 50/50 on making the roster. However, if he has a serious injury we have to pay him and he does count against the cap if I understand correctly.

Collins injury must be serious.

Too bad for Collins. That's 2 years in a row now.

Yes, and he was a player that potentially could have filled in at tackle. Tackles are really, really hard to find.

Edit: The new guy can also play tackle, it seems.

The #Vikings have claimed guard Tyler Catalina and waived guard Tiano Pupungatoa. He started two games at right guard for the Redskins in 2017. Catalina has the versatility to play guard and tackle.

Tyler Catalina in 187 snaps in 2017. (according to PFF Focus on Twitter) He may not be the answer to our need for depth.

39.2 overall grade

28.9 pass block grade

52.1 run block grade

14 pressures allowed

#Vikings players to appear in all 16 regular season games:

2015 - 27

2016 - 19 (Adam Patrick on Twitter)

2017 - 25

2018 - 19

Guess which years they made the playoffs

Here's a Twitter conversation that caught my eye: (Chad Graff, Matt Holmes and Eric Thompson)

Asked about players that have stuck out to him so far in training camp, Mike Zimmer mentioned tight end Brandon Dillon and cornerback Kris Boyd.

Funny he told someone else who asked the same question Conklin. So all the TE’s are looking good.

They...kind of are. Hikutini has had a couple nice moments too.

It’s been quiet on Irv tho....sure he’s a rookie and figuring stuff out but I think the level of impact he has this season has likely been overstated.

So, when I wrote that he has been lining up all over the place with the first team throughout camp, you think that means he won't make an impact? I think he'll play a pretty big role.

Not necessarily low impact, I don’t have a feel yet what his role and ultimately nitch / contribution level will be. H-backs are multi faceted and if we’re run oriented and you add in Rudolph’s role increasing from Cousins comments I wonder. Skins and Kirk utilized two TE well

Perhaps Irv Smith Jr. was not the right choice in hind sight in the second round. I just checked and there was no choice that was compelling immediately following him, though. Maybe Max Scharping. (OT) Of course it's way too early. Smith is like 20 years old (going on 21) and he hasn't played a game yet. I certainly was happy on draft night.

#Vikings LB Anthony Barr: The offense is “playing with more confidence, a little more pace, getting in and out of the huddle quickly, and they have a lot of really good plays in that challenge us - stuff we aren’t accustomed to seeing from years past.” (Andrew Krammer on Twitter)

In other injury-related news, Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes was seen on Thursday without a leg brace around his surgically repaired knee. Hughes is still on Minnesota’s PUP list, but him ditching the brace certainly seems like a good sign.

He's getting some votes for Mr. Mankato.

I predict Browning makes the team and becomes a reliable backup QB before his career is over.

Hughes being ready for the start of the season would be MASSIVE. I see him as a potential multiple time pro bowler if he comes back fully from last years injury.
