One of the few times I'll disagree with what you guys saw.
I liked the game, thought we were better, and got caught and passed on some really bad breaks.
That's an incredibly talented offensive club.
Stalock did what he could, but he will not beat a team like that very often. I really don't fault him for many of the goals.
The biggest back-breakers were tipped once or twice, or were thru full screens.
Not absolving him of blame, just saying, this wasn't a goaltender loss.
I was actually quite pleased how we answered all night, right up until the final 4 minutes anyway.
Get the two points Wednesday night and enjoy the month off.
Dumba once again with 45 shots last night …. ZERO points.
Someone doing the game was making fun of Hartmans numbers … scored once in his last 12 games or something like that.
Hartmans never been told to score, The guys we have told to score … go longer than that.
Kunin is coming around nicely. Rask had a nice game. Patteryn and Soucy struggled with the Panthers length and speed.

What the heck are you doing Scott? Being all reasonable and crap.

Okay, yeah, they played a really good game and answered every time. Maybe it was that "go get 'em" play that made it a kick in the gut for me when they lost.

But I agree, they looked good, and I didn't blame Stalock at all for that. The Panthers are just a very good team.

The Panthers are very good but we should have won that game. Playoff chances are getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror.

Just really like our game right now.
Some nights you can do most things right, and still lose in the NHL.
Florida felt like they got away with one, and they did.

Oh yeah, I really liked the way we played last night. On most nights that kind of effort will get you in the win column. That was a very good hockey game last night and we came up just short at the end there. The thing that sucks the most is now we will probably see Duby and Mikko back tomorrow and we will look like a different team.

I'm calling bad puck luck for Dumba. 121 shots and only 3 goals. Almost statistically impossible. This is not on him. Sometimes you just gotta say "that's hockey."

In fairness it did get tipped by Ek, but he still ducked and let it in.....
A few shots later the puck is sitting there in front of him and it takes him for ever to cover it while Dumba is trying to protect the puck while waiting for the cover. He sure looks slow after a few games of Stalock in comparison.

Yeah, it was tipped but holy hell. If your goalie is ducking pretty tame shots (compared to a full on slapper) it's pretty damn telling.
