Yeap. You continue to start the game at a minus 2 because he's in net, it's almost impossible to overcome. BB and Company continue to baffle sending him out there. It's like they are saying this year is done so lets get a better pick, regroup in the offseason and find an answer to him and let the Russian take over.

That being said there are some nice pieces on this team. Fiala is just gaining confidence and starting to become a stud. Love it.

Once again, weirdly NOT pissed off about that loss.
We are pretty damn good all of a sudden
Took the Avs using all their advantages, to beat us. Including refs.
And the only thing that pisses me off continues to be what Jeff said
You play Doobnyk, you lose (Dallas was an anomaly)
Pretty much the same with Patteryn too.
But, what the hell BB. You're killing your team.
Fun to get back in the mix, even tho we are battling with a half dozen for one spot.
Another groundhog day year.

FFFFFFFFFFFFiala continues to impress. Just can't get enough of his game.
Good to know I wasn't crazy, the NBC crew calling his OT shift vs Chicago one of the best they have ever seen.
Special player. Who Boudreau wasn't real sure could play. Hmmm. You're starting to give me some pause, Brucie.

I watched the last period and they wanted it bad. We made them really work and I think they had 3 of their important guys get hurt by games end.....we are becoming a handful....

Kind of the recap I would have given too, Phil.
We are not fun to play against, that's a great sign.
Its a shame we have to expend so much energy …. simply not allowing shots on our goalie.
Won every major face-off late, and Koivu was nowhere in sight.
Staal had 3 great opps hop his stick late, not a great sign.
Avs are big fast and play hard. They quickly have become one of the best, unfortunately.
They remind me of the Jets, but much more focused and successful at this point.

Oh, and I kinda like Kunin, but jeezus, kid, learn how to score. Please.
He has at least one or two bunnies a game that he just doesn't get done.
Lots of Swedish to his game, very little Fin(n)ish.

I see what you did there. I wish I didn't, but I do.

I saw the goalies for the game and said.... WHY. BB continues to disappoint. Apparently all NTG has to do is not completely suck for one game and he resumes #1 status no matter how much better Stalock plays.

After Dubes jumped out of goal and totally wiffed on a puck proves the puck handling. Stalock's stick handling helps the defensemen so much....it seems they get killed on the boards more with Dubes in net.

Only good part of Pierre doing the game … he and the rest of the crew were very honest about Dubnyk
They were shocked by his performance, felt the goals were weak, and basically laughed at his inability to move pucks.
Totally disagreed with BB's decision to play him, as Phil said, the puck moving ability of Stalock is exactly what shuts down an offense like the Avs.

BB is just being stubbornly stupid on this point. Hadn't we pulled within something like 3 points of a playoff spot? Why does he dick around with goalies when he gets back to that point?

I think he was hoping for another shutout and it cost us a game.

Especially at home
Stalock is money at the X most nights
At least give him the same opportunity to totally embarass himself, like you give Dubnuts …. every night

Yeap. Very disheartening. They battled but he gave up 2 softies (and the 3rd is/was debatable too). That 'screen' on their 2nd was a pretty weak screen in the grand scheme.

Esp after the Avs goalie makes a couple on completely screened shots
They broke those down well, he was square to the puck, and let it hit him. quiet, and reactive once it appeared on him
Dubnuck is always jittery as a monkey on mountain dew at the wrong times.
Sometimes the greatest thing a goalie does is LET THE PUCK HIT YOU

He could have easily GIVEN the Avs 3-4 early with his kicked out rebounds
They luckily hopped sticks, some of them would normally be buried by Avs guys
Part of being a real NHL goaltender is controlling where that rebound goes. He has lost that ability. He has to focus all his energy on the original shit, has no care for the rebound.
Does not work in this league.

Agree man. My biggest compliment him, even when he had good numbers, was that his is big. That's about it. He's done now. His head is gone.

Like you said. When a guy shoots from the top of the right hand circle you can't kick it out to the left hand dot when guys are flying down on you. You're asking for rebound goals.

Lucky dude
Our trip there for a game last year was awesome
Until the game result … that was the only part that sucked.
Would have given damn-near anything to win the game.
Fans were unbearable during and afterwards.
Great building, fun area.

Time to move on from a couple guys.
