Spurgeon a hat trick in win at Edmonton.

That is apparently allowed? One guy three goals in a game ??? Nice

Not only did he get three goals, he got them consecutively for the pure hat trick.

I've been told it's apples to oranges. What I've gathered is that:

A. apples can score goals.
B. oranges can't.

Apples can score, oranges can't. We all gain so much knowledge at your feet.

Lots to like last night. Spurgeon with the hatty, Fiala continues to roll, Galyunchuk with a couple of helpers, Suter with a couple of helpers plus leveling someone in the crease .

On the flip side, Mikko and Staal just continue to look old.

I also noticed what SMF was saying about Walz. In the second period, he said that a nice looking Wild rush started with Mikko winning a defensive zone face off ... except Ek won the face off.... cause Mikko wasn't even on the ice.

St Louis knows all they have to do is keep shooting at Duby and he will let in some softies......
Down 0-2 15 minutes in to the game means we will be chasing all night.

Well, today is the day. Here is to hoping Guerin plays the long game and makes a couple of moves.

Between Fenton and Guerin all of the "in their prime" core has already been moved so it's a matter of what "past their prime" player or young player can he find a trade for.
I won't be surprised if nothing happens to be honest. Just another year of same old, same old for Wild fans......

According to Russo; the Soucy injury might affect a Brodin or Dumba trade....interesting that the Blues want Dumba. I would do it for a speed Center and a pick.

The “new” coach likes to play Dubs too

Yet they’re supposed to try and make the playoffs.

Its like you just hand the game over before it starts

I actually thought we competed last night, the Blues simply are on a roll
Back to smothering opposing offenses
Esp ours.
We probably had more Grade A's than they did, but as usual, we do not capitalize, and as usual, our opponent does, thanks to beach ball.

I don't know why that should affect a Brodin or Dumba trade. We have good defensemen in Iowa who are dying for a chance to show their stuff.

Yesterday showed how far we really are from relevant. The best this lineup can hope for is to grab the last playoff spot and get pole axed in the first round.

On the D front …. ZERO chance Patteryn is giving us more than Seeler could have. Zero.

He was unusable in that game last night. Terrible matchup for him, most are lately.
And St Louis is the type of team that totally punks a couple of our guys
Dumba mostly, they lure him into making stupid plays, and he obliges
And they expose our small players. Parise, Zuccarello, Spurg, all rendered useless by the Blues length and strength
That's why Guys like Greenway looked so good (he did). They play Blues-style. And that works in the NHL these days.

Brennan Menell is having a year that is screaming for a call up. Lousi Belpido doesn't have Menell's offensive ability, but he is bigger and stonger and a good skating defensive defenseman ... just sayin .... they can call em up .... no reason to hold up a Dumbo or Brodin trade.

For what it's worth ... which is less than nothing .... The Shooter, yesterday, asserted that Guerin is about to make a deal that will the biggest in Wild history. That column is currently lining the bottom of my bird cage .... which is really weird .... because I don't have a bird.

Yeah Anas, Mayhew, Sturm....all deserve to play over Staal, Mikko, and maybe Donato? Donato could be the odd man out/sent packing if this trade that is brewing is true.

any rumblings on trading DUMBA , BRODIN ?

i'd rather not guess names. It's hard to tell what today holds, but he's trying to do something big, I hear...Takes two to get a deal done.

@RussoHockey
Both would be in play for a No. 1 center/goaltender, No. 2 center + other pieces. If it's not there, Guerin waits.

I do get the impression this morning he's at least attempting to swing for the fences today, but takes two to tango

A kid who played for me, knew him, and is Haulas age … always told me he was a total dingleberry to get along with
I always fought it, because I loved his game, but man it sure has played out that way
There has to be something to it.
I think we all would like a little more sandpaper in our locker room, but some guys are apparently just too much to put up with

We needed him and still traded him to Vegas. Sucks he is that way...
