Take a look at their schedule. Wasn't very tough. Actually a lot like ours.

Got to shut down Kittle, get some turnovers and score in the neighborhood of 28 points to give ourselves a chance.

If this game was getting played in three multiple universes, I believe the Vikings could win one of the games. It all depends if this is that universe...

Unless we go on a magical run 2020 is SB or bust for this team. I expect all the major parts to be here through Cousins contract.

I wouldn't draft a qb in the 1st 3 rounds. Either Cousins rises to the occasion and earns a new contract or a new regime will be put in place and we can let them find our next qb.

So Kirk Cousins at 33 years old is magically going to get it?
I think we know who he is. Everything about him screams average QB. He’ll whip up on bad teams but struggle vs good ones under pressure. How many times we need to see it
He suckered our front office into a big contract off the “but I played for bad teams”
I’d rather go after a Tua. This draft class is loaded at QB. Would be foolish not to go get one

I see you've been a no show, wow what a surprise. You and Rags must be stuck in a cave somewhere.

Rags will be here "happy to eat crow" and admitting Kirk played well and he was maybe wrong about him.

Until the next time he plays badly or finds a negative article about him...

He has over a hundred PAGES, not posts, ranting about Cousins.

He'll try to save face by countering all that with a line or two.

There it is, but even at that he has to resort to dancing around the plate of crow.

I can't say I follow the Niners that closely, but it seems to me they have some explosive players who make big plays. Their defensive line is mostly first rounders. In some ways they are a lot like us, but they certainly have been more successful this season.

#Vikings nickel CB Mackensie Alexander has a small lateral meniscus tear and is consulting with doctors to determine if he needs surgery, source said. Decision expected in next 24 hours. Alexander got hurt Week 17, didn’t play yesterday. An important piece of that defense.

There is absolutely no case to be made for OPI P.J. Williams playing the ball or not, unless the offensive player pulling his arm out of the grasp of the defender is OPI. Pause at the :12 second mark of that twit, the defender clearly has grabbed Kyle's right arm, Kyle simply rips his arm out of the defenders grasp. There was a case to be made for DPI, that's it.

In sequence:
Saints DB never looked for the ball
Saints DB had both hands on Rudolph
Rudolph pushed off
Saints DB grabbed at Rudolph's arm.

Officials got it right. Mutual contact that never rose to the level of PI in either direction. The very definition of a non call.

Absolutely agree, I wrote exact same thing, but didnt hit enter since my takes here are highly criticized with good reason for my stance on other elements...

Best possible outcome would be start hot, with Kirk in OT mode and pile on/ match points with our D resumes dominance and find the points to expliot.

Worst case senerio is Niners find their Taysom Hill element and exploit it on us as the Saints stupidly failed to totally capitalize on, maybe for fear of hurting the feelings of an aging Drew Brees who was having an off day?

Until the next time he plays badly or finds a negative article about him...

It was a very Viking like game, The Theilen fumble to start, Kirk was stiff early on, the throws into the turf, batted pass, what looked like a WTF Cook fumble that we as Vikes fans know well as a gut punch in the biggest games...

Not admitting crow on Kirk, he got his head right while Cook was doing the heavy lifting early on in game and yes, Kirk made the plays when it mattered to see our outcome end with a W.

Coupled with a showing by the defense when we most needed them to FINALLY show up this year, and a coaching/ game plan that could have been more agressive, but did come to play when it most mattered.

We need more of same next weekend against an opponent thats coaching staff knows Kirk very well. It will be imparative that we have another solid showing on D as well and allow our play makers to play to their strengths.

Im a Vikes fan through and through! Hoping Kirk starts next weeks game where he left off in overtime in New Orleans and we just roll over a Niners team that does have flaws and can be beat when put on ropes quickly...

Jeffery Dalmer claimed to be a Bears fan.

More on the controversial game winner play:

https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2020/01/06/saints-viking-kyle-rudolph-touchdown-pass-interference-controversy

This quote from the article sums it up perfectly

“We looked at all of the angles that Fox afforded us, and Fox gave us some great views,” NFL head of officiating Al Riveron told a pool reporter after the game. “There is contact by both players, but none of that contact rises to the level of a foul. This is consistent with what we’ve done all year long in games not involving the Packers, we left the ruling on the field. We let it stand.”

If both players engage in any level of hand fighting, short of one player throwing the other to the ground, the refs are never going to throw a flag. Had there been no contact prior to the Rudolph push, it would have been flagged. The defender had both hands on Rudolph when the push occurred.

I called for a "Minneapolis Miracle" type FINISH like late in fourth quarter assuming that the Saints would rally... Far before the game went to overtime... I did not cal;l it that after the fact, see game day posts..

Am I outspoken on my feelings on certain aspects of the team, absolutely, as we all are, and should be, we are die hard fans... At the end of the game day thread several very adimately told me to shut the f u c k up, and thats cool, its their right to voice their opinions... So I have just been rather quiet as asked...

Make no mistake Im right now searching for the right tix to buy to see my team play the Niners next weekend...

Foremost to me is seeing the team win, sure I have voiced very strong and maybe wrong or biased views of given aspects of the team, Im not caring about anything in end but positive outcome for the Vikings...

I'll stop.

Well I stated that if we beat the Saints the season would be a success and I stand by that. Great job by the coaches and players yesterday! I'm super elated that we pulled it off. Cousins made big boy throws to lead us to victory as well which was truly awesome! Having said that how awesome would it be to go outdoors on grass and beat the niners? This is very similar to 87 is it not? We played the Saints, Niners, and fell to the Skins. Being totally honest I'm going to be disappointed if we don't at least play the Niners tough. I know they're a very good team and there would be no shame in losing this one especially with a great effort. It would be so awesome if we kept this thing rolling though! I feel like we showed something as a team that I haven't seen since 2017. Let's keep it rolling boys and girls!

Diggs antics during the game were somewhat worrisome...

However, I've seen him in 2 videos now (on the field after the game and in the lockerroom) very genuinely congratulating Kirk.
I don't think Diggs has any deep seated resentment... he is just super emotional in the moment.

Not excusing it... just don't think it's a ticking time bomb like some WRs around the league.

Gonna need both WRs to get hot to carry this thing home... get it going Diggsy!

I've seen the 49'ers play a few times this year. Their offense is only OK and their D gave up about a million points to the Saints who we just held in check. They are very beatable and I expect us to do just that.

The Vikings have more playoff experience now than the Niners. Only 14 of their 53 players have been in the playoffs. It has to be a huge advantage though, that the Niners are 13 days rested and the Vikings are six and having to travel twice in six days. The game is being played on a grass turf. That has to be an advantage for the Niners, as well as the home field benefits.

Cousins had to take a big hit and barely got this pass off. Check this view out.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1214301417168654338

Here's a still shot of his pass. Game of inches sometimes.

https://twitter.com/ConnerWickland/status/1214314596565180416?s=20

On the play it's worth pointing out that our rookie center blocked his guy and then helped out on blocking a second player who was blitzing up the middle.

Note: I edited this post. At first I thought it was the big pass in overtime to Thielen. It was a different pass.
